Zhou Wang exchanged some jokes with Jiang Mubai before hanging up the phone.
As he waited at the red light, he saw a new friend request pop up on his phone's WhatsApp; upon opening it, he confirmed it came via "Jiang Mubai's card" and was indeed from the DJ Yuyu.
Zhou Wang chuckled and directly ignored the message.
Though he jokingly flirted with Jiang Mubai, Zhou Wang was no longer keen to further entangle himself emotionally.
This wasn't about seeing through worldly desires, but rather entering a period of calm reflection after a phase of sudden wealth and indulgence, typical in youth...
Even for that girl named Huang Ying, Zhou Wang only hoped to lend a hand when the timing was right, but he didn't plan to invest much thought into it.
Life demands changes at the proper stages; nobody stays the same forever.
