Alaric rubbed his temples. He could already imagine the scene where Yvanna and Yskaela would question him about the two beastwomen. Just the thought of it gave him an intense migraine.
"How should I handle this?" He mumbled helplessly while scratching his head.
Just then, he suddenly heard someone's footsteps. He turned his head and saw Yskaela looking at him with a bewildered expression. "What happened? Why do you look glum? Did the discussion end badly?"
Alaric shook his head with a wry smile. "It's not like that."
"Then what is the matter?" Yskaela crossed her arms, her eyebrows deeply furrowed.
Alaric sighed in his heart. He might as well come clean about it. "I think it would be better for you to follow me."
Yskaela raised an eyebrow, wondering what this was all about.
Alaric took her inside the tent where the two beastwomen were waiting. When Yskaela saw them, her eyes darkened.
