The Great Elder tried to make his voice stern, but as the words reached his lips, they weakened.
Could Daphne possibly not know what she was doing?
Yet, he hadn't anticipated that Director Eno's side would respond so swiftly and deliberately.
They had already taken control of the Elder Court.
"Go inside," Daphne laughed, "I have already gathered enough elders to open the legislative court, just waiting for the Great Elder to preside."
"Princess Daphne," the Great Elder's Adam's apple slightly trembled, "The situation need not escalate to this extent; there's no need for either side to destroy the other."
"You're wrong, Great Elder."
Daphne whispered:
"Political struggles are merciless. Let's not waste time here. Those people you once served are already hovering their ships above us, ready to unleash high-energy beams at any moment.
"Please enter and do as I say."
