Quickly, the group arrived at the local precinct and met the witness, who was undergoing interrogation.
The Chief intended to go inside but was stopped. A police officer blocked him, "My colleague is working, you can't go in now as it might affect the result."
He stared at the officer blocking him for a while; neither willing to back down.
This was the City Police Department precinct, not his highway precinct. Finally, he could only grunt and continue waiting outside for the results.
After about ten minutes, the witness came out of the interrogation room. The Chief glanced at one of his subordinates, who nodded slightly and turned to leave ahead.
