Then the group left the place, stepping over the short policeman's body. None of them, except the tall policeman, glanced down at him.
He was like a dead mouse, cockroach, or some other insignificant little thing lying in the corner of the wall. Even though the corpse was there, people could ignore it.
As for whether the body would be discovered?
Who cares about that?
Back at the rented villa, Elvin pondered for a while before calling Lance to update him on the situation here.
Lance couldn't help but laugh at what Elvin told him, "So we thought it was a double-crossing deal, but it was actually devoured by a bunch of policemen."
"When we assumed it was the city police, we found out these policemen were actually State Police?"
"This means the situation has become even more complicated now."
He was silent for a moment, "I originally didn't want to go over, but now it seems I have to."
