While Oliver was with Elegg, the fight between Brogy and Dorry had taken place, ending in Brogy's victory.

A man's voice was heard, so upon looking toward the spot, they saw Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine, who had Karoo, who was extremely injured.
"Was it you?!" Luffy asked angrily.
"We're returning this one to you. We don't need him anymore," Mr. 5 said, throwing the injured Karoo.
"Why you...?! Karoo hasn't done anything to you!" Vivi shouted at them, going over to Karoo.
"Eh? Who are they?" Usopp asked.
"They were in the last town," Luffy explained to him.
"You're right, that bird has done absolutely nothing to us. The only one we consider a threat is the straw hat boy, and that dog might have already been captured. So, in order to lure the princess away from her, we tried to use that stupid bird, but it just became a sack of feathers."
He explained to them how they wanted Karoo to scream to attract Vivi, but he wouldn't obey them, so they started beating him and beating him to make him scream, and even then he didn't do it.
"Bastards," Vivi said angrily as she checked on Karoo.
"WERE YOU THE ONES WHO PUT A BOMB IN THE BARREL?!!" Usopp shouted at them.

"No, but it's pretty clear he's one of their nakamas," Miss Valentine said.
"YOU INTERFERED IN THE GIANTS' FIGHT!!" Usopp said angrily.
"It was them! I'm going to kick their butts!" Luffy said, trying to break free.
"I will finish them!!" Vivi said, preparing to fight.
"Do you want to test us, Miss Wednesday?" Mr. 5 said.
"Kyahahaha, do you think you can take on official agents?" Miss Valentine asked them.
Usopp and Vivi got ready and went to attack them.
Usopp attacked them with an exploding marble, which made Miss Valentine jump away from the smoke cloud while Mr. 5 took the marble head-on.
"Kyahahaha! A perfect gust of wind!" Miss Valentine said.
In the explosion, Mr. 5 was intact, so he returned the attack with an explosive booger that went straight at Usopp, causing a huge explosion.
"USOPP!!" Luffy shouted, worried for his Nakama.
"Kyahahaha!! I'm so sorry!" Miss Valentine said. "10,000 Kilo Press"
Miss Valentine went straight for Usopp to crush him, but before she could touch him, she was sent flying by a hit, making her crash directly into the beast's skeleton.
"That's the second time I've hit you. Why don't you just stay put somewhere?" Oliver said, having just arrived. "Oi, Usopp, are you okay?"
"I-I'm fine," Usopp said, injured.
"Y-You..." Mr. 5 said, scared upon seeing Oliver.
"Well, I guess I didn't hit you hard enough to make you give up," Oliver told him.
Mr. 5 saw Vivi, so he went to grab her, but before he could touch Vivi, multiple gunshots went straight at him, electrifying him with every impact he received, causing him to fall to his knees while twitching from the electricity.
"Now that's some good aim," Oliver said.
Elegg was positioned on a rock with a yellow submachine gun.
"That's for locking me up," Elegg said, standing up.
"I see you guys are in trouble. How do you get into so much trouble?" Oliver told them, seeing them in that pitiful state, but relieved that they were alive.
"Oliver! Free me from this!" Luffy shouted at him, still trying to get out.
"Alright, alright, no need to get worked up. I'll free you right away," Oliver told him.
Oliver went over to Luffy, looking at the skeleton.
"I highly doubt I can lift something this big," Oliver said, looking at the whole skeleton.
He positioned himself and tried with all his might to lift the skeleton.
It started to tremble a bit, but despite using everything he had, it was impossible for Oliver to lift it even a few centimeters.
"I can't."
He let go of the skeleton and thought of another option.
"Luffy... I have a way, but I don't know if you're going to like it," Oliver said, thinking of his second option.
"It doesn't matter! We have to go beat the crap out of the ones who interfered in the duel!"
"Alright... don't blame me if I cut you."
Luffy looked at him when he heard that but couldn't say anything to him when Oliver used Whirlwind Iron Cutting Fist to create a gust of wind, making a giant hole in the skeleton.
"EHHHH?!!"
Everyone present was left with their mouths open upon seeing the hole he had made.
"Wow... it worked," Oliver sighed in relief.
"That almost cut me, stupid!" Luffy shouted at him, standing up angry.
"You wanted me to free you! And it was the only way," Oliver told him.
"How did you do that?! Was it a Devil Fruit?! Or do you have an upgrade?!" Elegg approached to ask him excitedly.
"I just did it. I can do things like that, but that's not important, we have to go to our nakamas."
"Your nakamas?" Elegg asked.
"There's more of us, but the rest must have been captured by the ones who put you in that cage," Oliver told her.
"The candle man and the artist," Elegg said, remembering who it was.
"Candle? Mr. 3," Vivi said, knowing who was on the island.
"Do you know him?" Usopp asked her.
"He is one of the strongest Agents within Baroque Works," Vivi said, somewhat worried.
"That doesn't matter. I'll still beat him up," Luffy said, already prepared to fight.
"I support Luffy on that. We still have to defeat him so they don't follow us or attack us out of nowhere, and I suppose he will be where the giants fought," Oliver said.
"Wait, wait... Some giants devour humans as if they were crumbs, and you want to go where there are two of them?" Elegg asked them, somewhat nervous.
"Of course, if that bastard is there, we will go after him," Oliver said.
Elegg looked at everyone without a single hint of fear—well, Usopp was visibly scared.
"Hahaha... You guys are fun! I'll tag along!" Elegg said with a smile, reloading her submachine gun.
"Then we are ready. Some have to go after Mr. 3 and others have to go rescue the ones they possibly captured. Although someone also has to stay here taking care of Karoo," Oliver said.
"I'm going to beat the crap out of that bastard!" Luffy shouted.
"Then let's get started."
