Chapter 42 - Bonus

god's are not your saviors

Since the beginning of time. The human race have been getting encounters from beings beyond the sky. They would come down every now then, offering gifts and knowledge. Crowing their kings in exchange demanding sacrifices in return.

Glorious they all were until they were until you looked deeper. They were flesh eating beings that cloaked themselves in the skin of men that manipulated the strings of society to feed and kill all fresh blood in the darkness.

Centuries passed and the fiendish beings were revealed for who they really were, when the new queen rose to power pointing at the absurdity. The creatures no longer wore mask after being caught. They began shifting into their true form, giant monster picking people right off the streets and into metal baskets.

Queen Valyha stood firmly against the aggressive attacks of the 'gods' now known as demons, refusing to turn back to the old ways. An abominable war began as the new queen challenged the mighty creatures from a world above their own.

Blood shed as calamity came in the form of a black metal bird in the sky. That day nobody could forget as darkness covered the sun. All they could see were the red streaks of light from the bird of evil. Seven hundred million fell dead in an instant. the air became toxic to all that inhabited the earth.

The worst day to ever be. After five years of the devastating war, the creatures were expelled out of Earth by an unknown force.

The queen.

Valyha sat in the sky carriage, head rested back, gazing at the ceiling. She could hear the wailings and accusations that came from the Bird's massacre. They blamed her for maintaining the war and not returning back to the old ways.

The thought of another war like that was alarming. The destruction may be worse and they may not have it in them to fight again.

She stretched a hand as her eyes watched at her wrist thinking.

She had come this far to turn back now. She was in a whole other realm vastly different from her own, with nations and structures she never even knew existed. There was still so much about the universe to learn about.
