"How do I climb on?" Dove's eyes were wide with what I hoped was not fear as he assessed the tractor clearly trying to find a way to climb up.
Maybe I had been mischievous to start with by choosing a tractor that only had one seat, but that was all part of my plan. If we were cozied up together in a tractor driving around the open field, Dove on my lap and air conditioning blasting through as music played I was confident he would come around. It wasn't manipulation, I wouldn't even begin to call it that. It was more a gentle nudge into falling in love with me.
"Just step here and take my hand," I indicated to the silver small step and leaned out in my seat and reached out for him.
"This is so masc," he chuckled his smile practically taking my breath away as he got his footing, placed his hand in mine and with a small huff launched himself into my arms. I easily got a hold of him and put him on my lap which made him giggle. "You're getting touchy."
