Dove
"Okay close your eyes," Benecio's warm hands covered my eyes as he led me to a mysterious location. I could feel the grass under my boots, the way they sunk in and the slight night dew that made the air feel so cool. I didn't hear waves in the distance which told me we weren't close to the beach but I could hear rustling of trees.
I wondered what kind of date he wanted us to have that involved the outdoors and prayed it wasn't something sporty. I couldn't catch a football to save my life and we all knew how I felt about running. If I wasn't in immediate danger then there was no point in me doing it.
I let my hands rest on his forehead to anchor myself as he took me a few steps forward. I smelt burning coal and felt the warmth which told me there was a fire close by. Was he planning to sacrifice me? Maybe I had walked straight into a trap.
