"Are...are you alright?" she heard her mother ask. "You sound flustered," even as she instantly answered with a low sigh under her breath.
"Of course. I just...I just needed to make sure you were fine. I'll call you later once I get home," she said before she instantly hung up. Walking out of the supermarket while starin at the piece of paper with the number written on it which she had been given.
Her first thought was to send the number to Adam and try to figure out who it belonged to, only to pause as she got into the car she came in allowing the bodyguards that followed her to get inside with her.
'I dont even know exactly what he wants," she thought even if he had clearly threatened her mother's health.
But regardless it rattled her nerves as she went ahead and sent Adam a message detailing the number and what had tramspired between her and the stranger.
