"We are almost there," Inaya said, deflecting an attack from a Blood Monkey with the blade of her sword. The monkey didnt falter and quickly moved, and its tail, which is many times longer than its body, whipped from behind it, coming in for yet another attack.
But before it could arrive, Inaya had already moved away, circling around the monkey. Just as its tail struck nothing, a red light mixed with black flames, filled with so much sword intent, flashed out, landing on the monkey's side.
A deep wound was cut into its body, and the impact sent it flying several kilometers away.
Inaya dissolved into the chaos, choosing not to go after it, not when she had already injured it severely.
She appeared in the distance, her sword carving arcs in the air.
Looking deeper into the Blood Variant Pool, she could see a team of four coming toward them, each a powerful warrior. Of course, she had no idea this team was initially five, but one had been killed.
