Bringing Meiko to the Tower turned out to be the right decision.
She got to meet some of Kent's wives and everyone else living inside the Tower. Seeing the millions of people populating the various cities, she became a bit emotional.
After all, before she died during the Flame Era, she had been put in charge of an entire galaxy. While she had killed some of the high-ranking Flame Beasts and even the main threat, she knew that with her death, thousands had perished as well.
Seeing how peaceful life was inside the Tower, she knew that if a place like this had existed in the past, perhaps she wouldn't have died so early.
She would have had more freedom to counter the threats without constantly worrying about the innocent people she was supposed to protect.
Seeing how much she loved the Tower, Kent decided to let her stay for a while. He had other obligations to attend to, so he left to address them.
