Chapter 691: The Continent's Allied Army Advances into the Western Xuan Region
After exchanging a few words with Jiang Yinyin, Lin Langtian smiled lightly and turned to the Flame Master and the others. "Your senior sister has returned."
"Heh, junior brothers and sisters, did you miss me?"
Jiang Yinyin waved cheerfully at them, her little face bright with innocent delight.
"Haha, Senior Sister, this form really suits you," the Thunder Master said, eyes crinkling in a grin as he reached out to tug her hair.
She jumped up at once and clamped onto his ear.
"Little Thunder, show your senior sister some respect, hm? How many times have I told you?!"
Ying Huanhuan and the others could only offer wry smiles.
Their senior sister might look different now, but that violent temper of hers clearly had not changed one bit.
After teaching the Master of Space a lesson, the Master of Life and Death dusted off her hands in satisfaction and looked toward the Western Xuan Region, her eyes turning dark.
"So they managed to find the Demonic Prison I sealed after all."
The Flame Master nodded. "The three allied armies are already marching here at full speed. Once they arrive, we can attack the Western Xuan Region and eradicate the Demonic Prison completely!"
"So the War of Heaven and Earth begins again… only this time, Teacher won't be here to carry the burden for us," the Master of Life and Death whispered, her childish voice heavy.
The others fell silent.
"Ahem. Two more days and the armies will be here," Lin Langtian said, breaking the gloom. "We can use that chance to wipe out the Yimo entirely."
"Mm."
The Master of Life and Death drew in her killing intent and smiled again. "In that case, we'll wait two days. Then we'll kill them all."
Despite her sweet tone and innocent grin, a terrifying murderous aura seeped out of her, chilling the very air.
Ying Huanhuan and the others all nodded grimly.
One way or another, this battle would decide the fate of the continent…
…
The two days that followed passed in quiet.
But the calm before the storm shattered with the first light of the third dawn.
Boom. Boom. Boom.
Lin Langtian and the others looked up.
Far on the horizon, a storm of figures howled through the sky like wind and rain, an endless tide surging toward them.
The thunder of their passage could be heard clearly for a thousand miles.
Squad after squad of powerful experts descended before the mountain.
Sky and earth alike were blanketed in a sea of bodies, stretching beyond sight.
Standing atop the peak, Lin Langtian and the other seven were quickly spotted by the armies below.
"Greetings, Elders!"
The shout crashed across the ranks like rolling thunder.
Several streaks of light swept out from the allied mass, flashing toward the mountaintop.
"Big Brother!"
A familiar voice rang out. A tall, handsome figure landed before Lin Langtian.
"Jinwu?!"
Lin Langtian's eyes lit up.
Jinwu looked more mature than before, and a strong Reincarnation aura pulsed within him.
"That aura… could it be…" Lin Langtian murmured.
"I ran into two king-level Yimo and broke through while fighting them," Jinwu said, rubbing his head with a sheepish grin.
"A breakthrough in battle… quite a thrill," Lin Langtian chuckled, nodding in approval.
With Jinwu's bloodline as a Nine Slaughter Black Golden Crow and his new Reincarnation strength, even true Yimo kings would have a hard time putting him down.
He then turned his gaze to the figures flanking Jinwu.
On the left stood a man built like a tower, radiating savage, crushing pressure. It was Little Flame.
On the right, dressed in black, was Little Marten. Perhaps due to his role as leader of the Monster Alliance, a cold, hard edge now tempered his handsome features.
Both nodded at Lin Langtian with slight smiles.
"There's someone here who's been wanting to see you," Jinwu added with a small grin, waving toward the Monster Alliance ranks.
A streak of light flashed over.
A slender young woman appeared before Lin Langtian.
Her figure was soft and graceful, her gauzy dress clinging to snow-white skin. Her full red lips curved faintly, radiating a captivating charm.
"Xinqing greets Lord Langtian."
She bowed with practiced grace, her bright eyes alight with joy and a bold, burning warmth as she looked at him.
This was Xinqing, who had once received the Nine-Tailed Spirit Fox's inheritance and sealed her entire village away.
"How is your village doing?" he asked, eyes brightening at the sight of her now bathed in the nine-tailed fox's allure.
She nodded gratefully. "Our Nine-Tailed Clan has been restored as an Overlord Clan of the Monster Domain. We owe that to you and Lord Lin Dong. Our clan will never forget your kindness."
Lin Langtian smiled and inclined his head.
More figures streaked in from the distance. Qingtan, Ling Qingzhu, Ying Xiaoxiao, Tang Xinlian, Zhou Tong, Qing Zhi, and the rest of the alliance's leaders all gathered.
The Flame Master drew a deep breath, voice ringing out.
"With all three alliances assembled, we will now form the Continent's Allied Army. From this point on, all armies will follow Alliance Leader Xinlian's commands. Together, we will sweep the Yimo from this land!"
"Yes!"
"Together, we will sweep the Yimo from this land!"
The roar of their response shook heaven and earth. Everyone understood how critical this final battle would be.
"In that case…"
Ying Huanhuan and the Master of Life and Death exchanged a look, razor-sharp light flashing in their eyes.
"The army will move now. Advance into the Western Xuan Region!"
…
A mountain range in the Western Xuan Region.
At the head of the allied column, Lin Langtian gazed toward the peaks ahead.
There, he could feel Yuan Power and demonic qi clashing, the mark of a battle in progress.
"Those are surviving experts from the Western Xuan Region," Zhou Tong said solemnly. "This is their border. It seems they're trying to flee the Yimo's claws. Living under them is worse than death."
Though the region had fallen, some of its experts had survived in hiding, fleeing not out of cowardice but out of defiance. So long as they could escape to safety, the gulf between hell and heaven was just one step.
Rage darkened the faces of Lin Langtian, Ling Qingzhu, and Ying Huanhuan.
The Western Xuan Region's fall had brought unimaginable suffering.
"Three allied armies, hear your orders!" Tang Xinlian's voice cut across the skies. "Form battle lines and advance! Any Yimo encountered along the way—kill without mercy!"
"Yes!"
The shout that answered her was full of fury.
Having seen the Western Xuan Region's devastation with their own eyes, they were more determined than ever to drive out the Yimo.
The three allied forces swept forward like a surging tide, their formations tight and ready for any ambush.
In a flash, they had reached the mountains and glimpsed the embattled Western Xuan survivors.
"We are the Continent's Allied Army!" a high-ranking officer shouted from above. "We have come to liberate the Western Xuan Region! Withdraw at once!"
He turned and flew back to the main hosts without pausing.
"It's the Continental Allied Army!" someone shouted below. "They're taking back the Western Xuan Region and going to war with the Demonic Prison!"
"Withdraw? My brothers and sisters were all slaughtered by those Yimo dogs. Where would I go? The Western Xuan Region is my home. If I die, I die here!"
A hoarse cry rose, and countless eyes went blood-red.
They turned back on the Yimo in a frenzy and charged.
"Captain…?" a squad of allied soldiers said uncertainly, looking to their leader.
"Let them come," he sighed. "They have vengeance to take. With the alliance leaders and the elders in charge, nothing will go wrong. We just need to focus on wiping out the Yimo."
"Yes!"
The Allied Army crashed across the border like a steel torrent.
Everything in their path was scoured clean of Yimo presence.
…
Western Xuan Grand Desert.
Once, it had been a place of harsh beauty—lonely smoke rising over the sands, a great river eaten by the setting sun.
Now, demonic qi cloaked it in darkness.
Thud.
No one knew how long that had lasted.
Then the world shook once.
The demonic shroud over the sands rippled.
At the edge of the desert, a faint black line appeared in the distance.
It spread quickly.
Within a quarter of an hour, it had become an endless tide of people racing toward the sands.
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!
The thunder of countless bodies cutting through the air boomed like drums, and the weight of their resolve pressed down on the land.
Even the demonic qi recoiled under that overwhelming battle intent.
"Stop!"
At the center of the army, Tang Xinlian's eyes flashed coldly as the desert came into view.
Her voice, laced with Yuan Power, echoed over the host.
They had cut down Yimo without end on their march and saved countless Western Xuan survivors, yet the Demonic Prison's leaders had remained eerily silent.
Only Lin Langtian had any idea why.
The others, uneasy but resolute, had simply pressed on to this place.
According to their intelligence, this Western Xuan Grand Desert was the Demonic Prison's main base.
Now that the allied host had arrived at their gates, the Demonic Prison could no longer hide.
"Armies, form ranks and purge the demonic qi!"
"Yes!"
The command sent another surge of Yuan Power flooding into the desert.
Where it passed, black sand brightened back toward its original yellow, and the sky began to clear.
The allied host spread out like a great fan, battle formations locking into place as they advanced on the heart of the desert, where a single city lay.
Step by step, the earth shook under their march.
Yet no one came out to bar their way.
After two short sticks of incense, the host slowed and stopped.
Their countless eyes, blazing with hatred, fixed on the distance.
At the desert's center lay a massive city, hunkered in the sands like some evil beast from hell.
A subtle, terrifying pressure seeped continuously from it.
Under that weight, even the army's roiling battle intent faltered for an instant.
There was no mistaking it.
This was the Demonic Prison's lair.
The allied host halted dozens of miles away.
The silence between the two sides grew thick and solid.
Everyone knew what was coming.
The final battle of the second War of Heaven and Earth would be fought here.
The fate of the Tianxuan Continent would be decided on these sands.
"Hehe. You've finally arrived. The Demonic Prison and I have been waiting here for quite some time."
The oppressive quiet shattered at last.
Demonic qi swirled above the city and coalesced into a single black-robed figure.
He looked over the endless sea of soldiers and smiled faintly, his gentle voice rolling across the desert.
Several streaks of light shot up from the allied army's front ranks and came to a stop in midair.
Ying Huanhuan's ice-blue eyes fixed on the familiar figure.
"Heavenly King Hall," she said softly. "It really has been a long time…"
