The night was freezing, the kind of New York chill that cut straight through heavy clothes and settled deep in the bones. Arslan pulled up the hood of his black hoodie, standing behind the rusted corner of a massive blue shipping container. Next to him, Ryder checked the slide on his gun one last time before placing it back at his back side
"Can you hear me clearly ?" Arslan whispered, barely moving his lips as he spoke, trying to test the ear piece they got and making sure it was working.
A tiny, static free buzz tickled his inner ear before Ryder's voice came through as clear as if they were standing nose to nose. "Loud and clear, This little ear piece shit is crazy for real." he responded, confirming that it was working just fine
