The warehouse was dark and freezing, with just a few guards posted up to keep watch, smoking cigarettes and talking about random shit to pass the time.
They weren't sleeping on the job, but they were bored out of their minds just standing there. All they had to do was watch one single person, a girl tied up to a beat up chair right in the middle of the empty floor.
Even though they acted like they didn't give a damn about her, they never really looked away for too long. Every few seconds, one of them would turn his head to check on her, just to make sure she was still breathing.
"You really think those motherfuckers are gonna pull up for her?" one of the men asked, stamping out the cigarette butt that had barely kept his cold fingers warm against the night cold air.
