All soldiers from the demon army assembled at the front gate as fast as they could. Once again, they were preparing for the battle about to take place.
However, this time, none of them was confident in winning. They were looking at the horizon, spotting gigantic creatures that could wipe out their entire city.
It was way different than fighting against 'normal' soldiers like they did the first time.
William and Malakar were gazing at the same scene.
"We cannot win against this," Malakar said, "it seems we did fall in the end."
He had lost all hope of winning against that army. William was the same. He didn't have the power to win that fight.
Will I fail the test?
In the end, William was still participating in a trial to get the bloodline and its benefits. He didn't want to lose it.
"Let's go outside," Malakar said, his hand reaching for his sword. "We cannot let our soldiers die for nothing."
