Chapter 533 - A Way

Even the Death Eaters, known for their ruthless cruelty, were shocked by Thunderbird's savage methods.

Was this really the same smuggler of the silver wand?

No matter how brutal, his actions seemed even more terrifying than the Dark Lord they once served.

At that moment, Seth felt as if his heart was bleeding.

In the time it took to cast two blocking spells, Thunderbird had already killed eight clansmen in front of him.

What Thunderbird was doing wasn't just killing, it was a cold-blooded execution, a massacre.

Meanwhile, the remaining clansmen were either frozen in shock at the cruelty they witnessed or still struggling to defend themselves with powerful blocking spells.

If this continued, Seth estimated they would all be wiped out in just a few minutes.

The entire clan would be gone.

"Quick, retreat!" Seth shouted, realizing that defeating the Thunderbird was impossible.

"Everyone, fall back! I'll hold Thunderbird off for you!"

At Seth's command, everyone snapped out of their daze and hurriedly retreated behind him.

As they moved back, Seth launched several 'Avada Kedavra' curses at the Thunderbird, not expecting to kill it, but hoping to delay its attack.

Right now, his priority was to get as many members of the Jacobsen family to safety as possible, even if it meant risking himself.

It was ironic that the Pure Land Society, the largest violent group in Northern Europe, was known for its ruthless actions, far more brutal than smuggling gangs like the silver wand.

Yet, inside, they were fiercely united.

If anyone crossed one of their own, the whole family would come down hard in retaliation.

The Silver Wand, by contrast, seemed softer on the surface, more focused on profits, but their leaders were divided and suspicious of each other, each looking out for their own interests.

Seth was ready to go all out.

His killing curses were swift and merciless, disrupting the Thunderbird's attack rhythm just enough to force it to raise a wall of rock, earth, and stone to block the spells.

Meanwhile, Pure Land Society members scrambled to escape, zooming backward on broomsticks.

Seth seized the moment, hopping on a broomstick and retreating with them.

"Heh, trying to run away now? That's a bit too naive."

The Thunderbird seemed less frantic as it summoned a broomstick of its own, taking off in pursuit.

It fired spells intermittently, trying to stop their escape.

The threat of death pushed everyone to their limits, each wizard weaving through the air, performing tricky maneuvers to dodge the attacks.

But under the Thunderbird's relentless assault, some couldn't avoid being hit.

One wizard darting through the forest was so focused on evading spells that the tail of his broomstick accidentally scraped against a branch, putting him in danger.

For skilled wizards like them, it only takes a couple of seconds to regain their balance while flying.

That's usually not a problem.

But at that moment, the wizard who slipped up was immediately caught by the Thunderbird's blocking spell.

With a single powerful shot, his broomstick shattered into pieces.

Losing control, the wizard was grabbed by the Thunderbird, who also seized his broomstick, dragging him through the air at high speed for over ten meters.

"What?!"

With a fierce flick of its wings, the Thunderbird slammed the wizard into a thick ash tree.

The tough branches pierced straight through his chest.

In the end, like a strip of bacon hanging from the branches, the wizard was left dangling high up in the tree, slowly losing consciousness in the cold wind.

Another clansman was lost.

Hearing the screams, Seth's eyes turned bloodshot, fury nearly blinding him.

He wanted nothing more than to tear the Thunderbird apart.

But the last shred of reason in his mind warned him that he wasn't strong enough to take...

on the creature right now.

The most important thing was to save the rest of their tribe.

Aside from Karkaroff and Knut, who were seriously wounded or had died earlier, only sixteen of them remained in the fight, including Seth.

But after just a few minutes, nine had already fallen.

The Thunderbird's deadly efficiency was terrifying.

Fortunately, after more than ten seconds of fast galloping, they finally reached the edge of the blue Fiendfyre barrier.

But that only brought a new problem, they had to figure out how to break through the barrier, with the Thunderbird still relentlessly chasing them from behind.

"Don't slow down! I'll open a way for you!" Seth shouted, gathering all his strength as the cold wind whipped around them.

He poured every ounce of magic he had left into a powerful spell, casting the Curse Ender, the spell designed to dispel countless curses, directly at the blue fire barrier.

Even though the barrier was getting closer, it still hadn't broken.

Still, Seth didn't slow down.

Every second they lost meant their chance of escape grew smaller.

Maybe, just maybe, the Goddess of Luck had finally turned her gaze toward him.

When Seth and the other wizards from the Pure Land Society got within ten meters of the barrier, his spell finally tore through the protective shield made of blue Fiendfyre.

Seeing this, the Jacobsenfamily wizards looked like hungry wolves eyeing their prey.

They closed their eyes briefly, adjusted their positions, and prepared to strike.

To make sure his clansmen could escape safely, Seth stood his ground, risking capture.

His only goal was to keep the gap in the barrier open for just a few seconds longer.

But that decision cost him his life.

The Thunderbird behind him acted quickly, rushing forward and firing two obstacles straight at him.

Seth, focused solely on saving his people, was hit head-on, the massive impact slamming him back into the blue fire barrier nearby.

A painful scream escaped Seth as the blazing blue flames engulfed him, the intense heat unbearable.

"Silver Wand! The Pure Land Society and the JacobsenFamily will never back down against you!"

With his last ounce of magical strength, Seth shouted a curse.

Alex, playing the role of the Thunderbird, smirked and responded coldly, "Hmph, I want you to fall with the silver wand. Otherwise, why would I let anyone escape?"

Despite his sneer, Alex couldn't help but admire Seth's loyalty before he vanished.

"You're truly loyal, old man. You'd rather die yourself than let others go."

Even as his consciousness faded, Seth's thoughts remained on his family.

Maybe, in those final moments, knowing he helped his people escape was his only comfort.

Watching Seth disappear, Alex rubbed his chin thoughtfully.

"Just getting out of the Fiendfyre barrier won't be enough to get rid of the anti-apparition disruptor I set up. But what do I do with the rest? It wouldn't be right to just let them go."

After a moment's thought, a cruel grin spread across Alex's face.

"Fine, I'll take Karkaroff's advice, and this might just clear the way for him to become headmaster."
