**Annabelle**
Seconds passed, neither of us said a word. Finally after what **Annabelle** I cleared my throat to get rid of the awkward silence that reigned in the room. I just walked in on them having sex and watched as they rode each other to orgasm. Great way to start up a contract. The girl covered up properly throwing mean glares at me while Fallon struggled to get dressed. "Who the fuck are you and why the hell are you here!" She shrieked, grabbed her shirt and tried to put it on frantically. "What sort of bitch are you walking into a room without fucking knocking like you own the place or something !" She exclaimed testing my patience. "The only bitch here is you ." I retorted. she stood up immediately forgetting she was naked below. I held a chuckle, she glared before rushing to put her pants on. "I will rip you apart." She threatened. Fallon stopped her immediately, standing in between us shirtless. "Hey babe, it's okay. She's the girl I told you about." "This bitch." She cursed. "Call me that one more time and I swear I...." "Isabelle..." I could hear him grunting, I was forced to stare at him from behind. Six years ago I would drool at the sight but right now, I felt disgusted. "You know what, I came here because I thought you're serious, on second thoughts. I'll go!" I shrieked. "No, wait! Babe calms down, she's here to help." I saw her huff seating on the bed. "Wait, babe? And she supposedly knows I'll be here?" "Miss Jeremy." He called out, I folded my hands before seating on a table. "As I said, I need you to pretend to be my girlfriend while my real girlfriend finishes up with some things, it's preventing us from getting married. She'll be away for a while and my parents would be playing matchmaker and I can't have that happening, I just need a quiet and peaceful life until she returns, that can only happen if they think I have you" "Or...because you know you might succumb to temptation and leave that bitch." I replied with a chuckle, she rushed at me and Fallon ended up restraining her. "And besides, if we're together for some time don't you think your parents would be suspicious that we broke up and the next day you're with someone else, much less getting married." "Miss Jeremy, that's my problem to worry about. Your job is to focus on playing your role." "Alright. How much do I get paid and what do I do?" I asked in a hard tone. "Glorified prostitute." She retorted while hissing. "Why thank you, want my business card? I need referrals" I grinned which only seemed to make her angrier. "Would you two stop it!" He fired and I scoffed. "Alright, so when do I start?" "Today, right now actually but first I need you to do something for me...." He trailed off. "Alright," I responded and he got his cheque book. "Here, get yourself something pretty, we're meeting my parents." I froze as he handed the cheque to me. His hands were outstretched but I couldn't take it. "Fallon might be blind, dumb and utterly stupid but I can't say the same for his parents. There's a very high probability that they might remember me." "Well take it, you need it. Haven't you seen that much money in your life?" She chuckled mockingly. "I'm sorry Fallon, I can't. I'm extremely busy today. We'll reschedule for any time." I gulped and he smirked. "You have to be committed to this job or whatever you want to call it, go buy yourself something because we're leaving soon." He stated in a firm tone, grabbed my arm and placed the cheque in my hands. "Now get lost, I have to say goodbye to my boyfriend and you're in my way." She held his shoulders and I nearly gagged. "Give me your house address, I'll pick up by six pm." He stated, I nervously scribbled it on a piece of paper before standing up. "How am I gonna get out of this?" I thought closing the door behind me. I stared at the cheque and it was a lot of money. With it, I could buy a wig or something to disguise myself and makeup will help too. It was very dangerous for me to be out there with them, they would recognize me. I had to do something and get out, just usual greetings and I would leave. I sent a text to Ava informing her about the changes in events before heading to the boutique. ******* A few hours later, I was nearly ready to leave, I just needed a touch of makeup. My doorbell rang as Fallon arrived. I walked downstairs to open the door, he walked in and surveyed the house, his eyes darting off to every corner. "Why are you wearing a wig?" He asked looking confused. "You said I should look my best, that's exactly what I'm doing," I responded with a straight face. "I'll be right back, just need to do a few things first." I walked to my room to finish getting dressed. Just then, I heard the door open and he followed me in. "What are you doing here?" I asked smacking my lips and rubbing my lipstick properly. He didn't respond, he only moved closer towards me. Suddenly, he took off my wig gazing at my face intensely. "Annabelle...." He called out softly. Recognition flashed through his eyes. I couldn't speak, thoughts were running through my mind but the most important one was... "How the hell did he recognize me?" ********* like hours, he scoffed. Raked his hands through his hair and paced around my room.
"Anna..." He called making me frown.
"Don't call me that." I clenched my teeth and he sighed.
"Anna, it is you."
"Apparently, my name is Isabelle." I retorted with a sly smile.
"How could I be so stupid and not recognize you at first?"
"Well, you're right about the first part." I rolled my eyes in distaste.
"And just out of curiosity, how did you figure it out." I asked, dropping my bag on my bed.
"I hired someone to look into you. Come on, you're pretending to be my girlfriend, I needed to make sure of your personality. I just got a call from my P.I. I didn't believe him, I told him that he should recheck, and then I found one of your old pictures on the couch." He explained, I sighed.
"Now I'm the stupid one." I muttered to myself.
"Annabelle, tell me you're doing this because it's me and this isn't your occupation or something?" I clicked my tongue.
"It's cute that you think I'm still going to do anything for you." I responded clearly annoyed.
"So why?"
"Because my parents aren't as well-to-do as yours, a girl's gotta make money somehow." He furrowed his brows.
"So you became a prostitute?"
"Wow, a few minutes ago you were ready to go out with "this" prostitute." I pointed at myself in rage.
"Fallon, this doesn't change anything. Don't change your way of thinking simply because you know it's me because I won't do the same. To me you're still the jerk I had the worst luck in dating, and now you're a guy I have to put up with because I need the money." I said in one breath.
"Annabelle." He called out softly.
"Fallon, act like "this" little blast in the past never happened, so we can go back to meeting your parents." I picked up my bag.
"I'll save you the time of having to reexplain to your parents how it ended with me and how I'm back, they won't recognize me with this wig." I placed it back on, adjusting it properly.
"Were you ever going to tell me?" His voice sounded like he was hurt.
"Fallon! You have no freaking right to demand anything from me. You obviously lost that right after what you did, and you have no idea what I had to go through after." I tried to keep my voice steady, but it ended up getting cracked at the end.
"Like I said, I'm a girl in need of money, you're a guy in need of a girl so let's get this fucking past behind us and move on!" I raised my voice at him, and he looked alarmed.
"Let's go." I lead the way and he trailed behind me.
********
We arrived at his parent's house, and it brought back so many memories. I would switch between mine and his through the holiday, and we would spend some here cuddling and watching movies, it was amazing, they were amazing until he went ahead and ruined it.
He pulled over and I stepped down immediately.
"My parents might sound hostile, they didn't approve of me dating anyone after you." He cleared his throat and I scoffed.
"Did you tell them why we broke up, or you made up some lame ass excuse." I was sure it was the latter, Fallon wouldn't be man enough to tell them what he did.
"I told them the truth, that's why they said they would never let anyone be with me even if it wasn't you." I was taken aback for a second. I most definitely wasn't expecting that answer. Not only that, but I felt his gaze on me for a second as walked inside the house.
"Nanny Rhoda." He greeted, I tried to stop the smile from creeping to my face, I just couldn't.
"I missed her." I thought fighting the urge to hug this middle-aged woman who was like my mother.
"This is Isabelle, my girlfriend." She trailed her eyes on me and I expected some nasty comment like Fallon told me. Surprisingly, she threw a wide smile.
"Nice to meet you ma'am." I said with a smile.
"Your parents are inside." She stated. Fallon abruptly placed his hands at the back of my waist. I jumped a little glaring at him.
"My parents aren't going to be convinced if I can't even touch you."
"Your parents aren't here are they?" I retorted with a scoff. He led the way, I trailed behind him into the house. I knew my way around, but I had to stick with Fallon to keep up the act.
Finally, they emerged from inside. Their face held disapproving looks.
Suddenly, his mom's face softened as she took a closer look at me and so did his dad.
"Hi ma'am, Good Evening Sir." I greeted but received no response.
"Mom, dad. This is Isabelle, my girlfriend." They still didn't answer.
"I'm sorry...." They trailed off sighing.
"You just remind us of someone." I cleared my throat and Fallon smiled.
"Well, it's nice to meet you Isabelle." I wanted to hug them so badly, but I knew I couldn't.
"The dinner table's ready, we should go." He beckoned, I walked ahead but stopped.
"Shit." I shut my eyes.
"Umm, it's that way right?" I asked, his mom nodded staring at me suspiciously. I covered my nervousness with a smile as we all walked to the dinner table.
********
I ate my pasta slowly taking one or two glances at them at intervals. I couldn't help but admit the fact that I actually missed this, the calm and quiet dinners we had.
"So Fallon, how's the business?" His dad asked, I glanced at him. I knew how much he respected his dad, wanted to make him proud and all. When it came to his dad, he was ready to do anything, so he wouldn't be disappointed. That leaves me to wonder how the hell he told his father what happened between us.
"Well, we're expanding to another site soon, the one close to us." My fork dropped in shock. Fallon wanted the same place I did.
"Are you okay?" He asked tenderly, I returned the look with a fake smile.
"I'm fine." I cleared my throat.
"He can't buy that land." I thought getting agitated.
"Okay, enough of business..." His mom started.
"Tell me Isabelle, how did you and Fallon meet?" She asked, I smirked before staring at him.
"Oh, this should be fun." I thought licking my lips.
"Well ma'am, it's funny actually. Fallon here was getting his ass, mind my manners kicked by some guy, and he was getting beating up pretty badly, I was passing by, so I had to save him." Their faces were priceless.
"But that's not the best part. He was actually getting beaten up because he walked in on two people having sex, by mistake of course." I clicked my tongue as they began to laugh.
"Isn't that right Fallon." I pinched his cheeks lightly, and he forced a smile. His cheeks reddened in embarrassment making me delighted.
