Bandits are groups formed by homeless refugees, mainly living by robbing other unfortunate refugees on the wastelands or commoners with fiefs.
Although they are originally from unfortunate backgrounds themselves, once they become bandits, they gradually become violent and cruel, slaughtering civilians even more ruthlessly than the beasts of the wastelands.
When refugees have nowhere else to go, they can still seek temporary shelter in some cities or civilian fiefs, but bandits are wanted by the temple and can only roam the wastelands year-round. In such a harsh environment, they are constantly on the move, and most of them have exceptional martial arts skills, with bodies stronger than ordinary people and combat skills that are quite formidable.
Even some priests who committed crimes and were discovered by the temple, fearing punishment, may join the ranks of the bandits. Such bandits are clearly not something ordinary folk can resist.
