Chapter 635 - Chapter 637: Completion, Allocation, and Good News

The sun rose and set.

In the blink of an eye, another two days had passed.

After half a month of dedicated practice, one of the two sealing techniques that Qingming had mastered—Guardian Seal—was finally perfected.

Qingming opened his eyes, reflecting on the newfound clarity that had just surfaced in his mind. He felt his understanding of sealing techniques deepen significantly.

He glanced at the panel and confirmed what he had anticipated—his Guardian Seal had leveled up from Lv6 (3250/10000) to Lv7 (0/0)!

After closing the panel, Qingming removed the Konoha forehead protector tied around his head. Using its reflective surface, he observed the "§" symbol on his forehead and silently murmured, "Release!"

In an instant, the "§" symbol disappeared, replaced by what appeared to be a naturally formed eye in the center of his forehead.

Qingming tried to close it.

Initially, the eyelids on either side of the eye managed to shut.

But within moments, the eye forced itself open again.

Seeing this, Qingming muttered to himself, "As expected, no matter how perfect it looks, it's not the original. There are always flaws."

Yes, the white eye embedded in the center of his forehead was similar to Kakashi's transplanted Sharingan from Obito—it couldn't be closed at will.

The only advantage he had was that although the eye couldn't be closed, it didn't continuously activate its Byakugan abilities.

This meant he didn't need to expend large amounts of chakra to maintain it.

Still, it was inconvenient.

Fortunately, this situation wouldn't last much longer.

After his last Physical Attribute enhancement, his Byakugan's awakening progress had reached 70/100.

Qingming estimated that with one more enhancement to both his Mental and Physical Attributes, the Byakugan would fully awaken and seamlessly integrate with his body.

At that point, issues like the inability to close the eye would naturally resolve.

Of course, the Guardian Seal would still be necessary.

After all, it was an additional eye. Even if it remained hidden most of the time, a thorough inspection could still reveal its presence.

This was why Qingming never gave up on perfecting the Guardian Seal.

And today, he had finally achieved that goal.

With a thought, Qingming raised his hand and began forming seals.

Soon, intricate black markings appeared on the upper part of his face, centered around the Byakugan in his forehead.

These markings were none other than the Guardian Seal's sealing patterns.

Then, with a low shout of "Seal!" from Qingming, the patterns quickly shrank and disappeared, fully retreating into the Byakugan.

In the next moment, the Byakugan vanished, leaving behind a faint vertical line on his forehead.

This vertical mark was much subtler compared to the previous "§" symbol. Without close inspection, it was nearly impossible to detect.

With this change, even if someone unintentionally caught sight of the mark, they wouldn't immediately suspect a sealing technique.

This wasn't particularly significant for Qingming.

But having better concealment was still preferable to being too obvious, right?

Moreover, the improvement wasn't just superficial. With the Guardian Seal now perfected at Lv7 (0/0), its effectiveness had increased significantly.

At the very least, Qingming could confidently ensure that as long as he didn't release the seal, no one would be able to detect the existence of the Byakugan.

As these thoughts crossed his mind, Qingming temporarily set them aside.

He then began contemplating how to allocate the 45,000 chakra points saved from the completion of the Guardian Seal.

Previously, his plan was to evenly distribute these points among the three lightning-style techniques: Lightning Style: Lightning Sword, Lightning Style: Thunder Serpent, and Lightning Style: Thunder Prison.

However, after some consideration, he decided to revise the plan, temporarily setting aside Lightning Style: Lightning Sword and prioritizing Thunder Serpent and Thunder Prison instead.

This decision was based on two reasons. First, he already had a Shadow Sword Technique that required practice, leaving little time to train another sword-based technique.

Second, improving Thunder Serpent and Thunder Prison would deepen his understanding of both the form and nature transformation of lightning-style chakra.

With that foundation, practicing Lightning Style: Lightning Sword later would yield better results with less effort.

"Alright, that's the plan!"

Satisfied with his reasoning, Qingming didn't hesitate further and made up his mind.

Still, the question remained—how should the 45,000 chakra points be distributed between Thunder Serpent and Thunder Prison?

Thanks to his Lv6 Chakra Control and the completion of Lightning Style: Thunder Strike, which provided bonuses to lightning-style techniques, Qingming now required approximately 65 chakra points to gain one proficiency point for Thunder Serpent.

For Thunder Prison, however, its higher difficulty meant he needed 100 chakra points for each proficiency point.

Additionally, the former was a C-rank technique with a maximum proficiency of Lv5, while the latter was a B-rank technique with a maximum of Lv7.

After careful thought, Qingming decided to allocate 15,000 chakra points to Thunder Serpent.

This would yield about 230 proficiency points per day, allowing him to reach Lv5 (0/0) within 16 days.

The remaining 30,000 chakra points would be dedicated to Thunder Prison.

This allocation would result in 300 proficiency points per day, meaning it would take approximately two months to perfect.

Of course, the actual time required would likely be shorter.

After all, once Thunder Serpent reached perfection in 16 days, the saved 15,000 chakra points could also be allocated to Thunder Prison.

This would increase daily proficiency gains by 150 points, further accelerating progress.

Moreover, his Object Sealing Array technique, though slower than the Guardian Seal, was also nearing completion.

A quick glance at the panel showed that its progress at Lv6 was already halfway through. Within ten days or so, it should advance.

Once perfected, the additional 44,000 chakra points saved could also be redirected to Thunder Prison.

In short, it wouldn't take two months for both lightning-style techniques to reach perfection.

By that time, Qingming could shift focus to training Lightning Style: Lightning Sword.

Having mapped out his training plan for the near future, Qingming didn't waste any more time. After closing the panel, he prepared to continue his daily practice.

However, at that moment, a sudden memory surfaced in his mind.

Qingming paused in surprise, then quickly remembered he had left a shadow clone stationed in Shahe City to handle mundane tasks.

The memory was a report from that clone, which had just dispelled itself.

Focusing his mind, Qingming sifted through the memory.

After skipping over irrelevant details, he zeroed in on the critical information that had prompted the clone to deactivate.

Moments later, he opened his eyes, a glimmer of joy flashing in his gaze.

The news wasn't bad—on the contrary, it was excellent.

According to the latest updates, the negotiations between the village and the Hidden Mist had concluded. Both sides had agreed to an unconditional ceasefire.

Additionally, they had reached a consensus regarding the Wave Country, a point of contention in recent conflicts.

In principle, the Wave Country would remain a neutral zone, with neither side allowed to station military forces there.

As for mission requests originating from the Wave Country, the choice of where to post them was left entirely to the citizens themselves.

In other words, the Hidden Mist had made concessions.

After all, the Wave Country was right at the doorstep of the Fire Country.

Whether due to practical considerations or out of deference to the Fire Country's influence, most of the Wave Country's mission requests would inevitably end up in Konoha.

The Hidden Mist was undoubtedly aware of this.

But for them, securing symbolic recognition of their stance was more important than the practical outcome.

On a related note, like the Hidden Stone, the Hidden Mist had not signed a formal alliance treaty with Konoha. Both villages had merely agreed to a ceasefire.

Even so, this was good news.

At the very least, Qingming could confidently say that the long and grueling Shinobi World War had finally come to an end.

But there was more to the report—another important piece of news regarding the village's arrangements for frontline ninjas like himself.
