Nightfall.
Outside Yujin Port.
Inside the Konoha encampment.
Aoba sat cross-legged in his tent, repeatedly alternating between performing Mystical Palm Technique and Heart Reflection Technique to strengthen his body and guide the evolution of his Sharingan.
The battles during the day hadn't affected him at all. After completing his mission and returning to the camp, he immediately started his training.
Of course, this didn't mean that his entire day was reduced to just this small amount of training time.
If that were the case, no matter how many shadow clones he created, it wouldn't be enough.
What he was practicing now were skills that required his physical presence to perform.
As for larger-scale ninjutsu that created more commotion, his shadow clones had already completed those during the day while he was carrying out missions.
Based on his current pace, he estimated that completing his training plan for the day would take him until at least midnight.
However, before that, one of his skills leveled up.
Inside the tent.
At a certain moment, Aoba opened his eyes.
He stopped using Mystical Palm Technique and Heart Reflection Technique and paused briefly to assess his progress.
After focusing for a moment, he opened the proficiency panel.
There, in the skills section, the first skill—Chakra Refinement Technique—had upgraded from Lv5 to Lv6.
Aoba had calculated this in advance. Back when his Physical Constitution attribute had increased, he estimated that it would take about nineteen days to upgrade his Chakra Refinement Technique.
Now, nineteen days had passed, and the skill had leveled up right on schedule.
Because the Chakra Refinement Technique operates passively, it wasn't hindered by intense battles or interruptions to other skill improvements.
Thus, it upgraded as expected.
As he had predicted, upon reaching Lv6, all aspects of the Chakra Refinement Technique improved significantly.
Most notably, his chakra recovery rate increased from 2,000 points per hour to 3,000 points per hour.
What surprised Aoba was that this increased recovery rate didn't place any additional strain on his body.
Initially, he was puzzled by this.
But after carefully analyzing the skill's effects, he understood.
The increased recovery wasn't achieved by drawing more spiritual and physical energy from his body.
Instead, the skill had enhanced the efficiency of energy utilization, reducing waste.
This improvement allowed him to maintain twenty hours of daily Chakra Refinement Technique usage without additional physical strain.
Consequently, his daily chakra recovery increased from 40,000 points to 60,000 points, a boost of 20,000 points.
Aoba originally planned to allocate all the additional chakra to his Wind Release: Rasenshuriken to expedite its growth.
However, after reconsidering, he decided to split the extra chakra into two parts, dedicating it equally to practicing Guardian Seal and Storage Formation.
This adjustment would add about 100 points of proficiency to each daily.
His reasoning for this decision was threefold:
First, the chakra already allocated to Wind Release: Rasenshuriken was sufficient for now, so there was no rush to increase its allocation.
Second, four of his other techniques—Wind Release: Vacuum Bullets, Wind Release: Vacuum Blades, Wind Release: Wind Devourer, and Water Release: Exploding Water Wave—were nearing mastery.
Once these techniques were maxed out, he would have an additional 180,000 chakra points available daily. At that point, he could further increase his focus on the Rasenshuriken.
Finally, and most importantly, the war was nearing its end.
According to his plan, once the war concluded and he resolved the matters involving Danzo, he would shift his focus to capturing Tailed Beasts.
Sealing techniques would be critical for this task.
While the Guardian Seal and Storage Formation wouldn't be directly useful for sealing Tailed Beasts, their underlying principles overlapped with other sealing techniques.
Improving these two techniques now would deepen his understanding of sealing arts.
This foundational knowledge would make learning other sealing techniques easier later, likely saving him a considerable amount of chakra.
Considering all this, Aoba allocated the 20,000 extra chakra points to Guardian Seal and Storage Formation.
Even so, he felt this wasn't enough.
Once his other techniques, such as Wind Release: Vacuum Bullets, reached mastery, he planned to reallocate more chakra to further enhance these two sealing techniques.
After organizing these thoughts, Aoba set them aside and refocused on the effects of his upgraded Chakra Refinement Technique.
Aside from the increased chakra recovery rate, the skill's ability to tap into his body's potential had also improved, which was what Aoba valued most.
At Lv5, the technique increased his chakra limit by 32 points for every hour of operation.
Now...
Aoba closed his eyes and silently activated the Chakra Refinement Technique.
After fifteen minutes, he reopened his eyes and checked the chakra section on his panel.
His chakra limit had increased by 16 points in that short time.
Sixteen points in fifteen minutes meant sixty-four points in an hour—a direct doubling of his previous growth rate.
With twenty hours of daily operation, he could now increase his chakra limit by 1,280 points each day.
Gaining over a thousand chakra points daily wasn't just impressive—it was exceptional.
Though this marked only the beginning, Aoba foresaw that further upgrades to the Chakra Refinement Technique would amplify this growth even more.
At that point, his main concern wouldn't be about extracting more potential from his body in a short time but whether his body's potential would be sufficient.
However, leveling up from Lv6 to Lv7 required a daunting 10,000 proficiency points.
Given his current rate of twenty proficiency points per day, this would take 500 days—more than a year.
Even if future upgrades to his Physical Constitution allowed him to operate the technique for the full twenty-four hours daily, the increase to twenty-four points per day would only reduce the time to about 417 days.
While still a significant duration, the end of the war would give him more time to focus on training, so Aoba wasn't overly concerned.
After thoroughly understanding the upgraded Chakra Refinement Technique, Aoba stopped pondering and returned to his training regimen for the day.
Time passed, and the night grew deeper.
At some point, Aoba finally completed his training plan. Without even removing his clothes, he slipped into his sleeping bag and went to sleep.
