Dezeil sighed, his gaze lost in the vast expanse of the starry sky before he answered Yoko.
"You're not weak, Yoko. You put so much pressure on yourself that you fail to see how much you've already grown. Don't measure yourself against giants. Instead, measure the distance between who you were yesterday and who you are today. If that distance grows, then so do you."
Yoko lowered her head, her voice trembling.
"You say that… but the first time we met, you didn't see any potential in me. That's why you kicked me out, I suppose?"
Dezeil remained silent for a moment, then closed his eyes.
"No. That's not why I sent you away…" His voice grew quieter. "I didn't want to repeat the same mistake I made with Megane."
Yoko raised her head, curiosity piercing through her sadness.
Dezeil continued, his gaze distant.
