Chapter 17 - Meeting Family

After hearing all this, Yami had already made all dots connect. She asked Rin,"Can you tell me about my father?"

Rin said to Yami,"Ofcourse, Your father is a demon lord who works under the demon lord of wisdom, Sylphira."

Yami was shocked to hear this that her mother fall in love with a demon lord.

Rin said to Yami,"Your father is the demon lord of shadow, Nexar Grimvane."

Yami is shocked to hear this, but Yuki's expression is showing something else. Yuki asks Rin,"Are you sure?"

Rin glances at Yuki and asks,"Yes, but why do you ask?"

Yami said to yuki,"Do you know something?"

Yuki said,"As the legend of dark valley says Airi and demon lord Nexar fought with the intent to kill each other. This battle was fought for 1 week continuously. So, how can they be husband and wife?"

(Rin sighs....)

Rin said to herself,"I know this was the case."

Rin explains to Yami and Yuki,"The legend of dark valley is indeed exists. But there are some rumours as well. It was Airi and Nexar who fought against the Dark Master,

RAIZEN ASHBORNE."

"Raizen was officially a Hero of the Ashborne Empire and the son of the king. But after using forbidden knowledge, he was corrupted by it. That leads to the destruction of his soul core. Because of this, he gone insane and want to open the gate for cosmic beings."

Rin said to Yami,"Your mother Airi and your father Nexar are the ones who prevent that calamity and sealed Raizen in the abyssal realm."

Yuki asks Rin,"Then why no one knows this?"

Rin said,"Because no one knows about the forbidden knowledge. When Airi and Nexar are fighting the Raizen, People assumed that Airi and Raizen the Hero are fighting Nexar."

Yuki said,"That makes sense." Yuki looked at Yami and sees Yami is in shock right now. Yuki place his hand on Yami's shoulder and said,"Don't worry about anything, I'll help you. You are not alone in this anymore."

Rin saw their bond and said to herself,"I'm sure, they will be fine." She smiles intently.

Rin said,"let's go."

Yami asks,"But where?"

Rin smiles and said,"To meet your grandfather and uncle."

After reaching the seventh floor's gate, Rin saw that Yami seems nervous, she said to yami,"Relax, they are not going to eat you."

Yami said,"I know, but still."

Yami had flashbacks from his previous life. When he was born, his grandfather passed away. His uncles despised him. Only his parents love him.

But now, he is going to meet his grandfather and uncle for the first time. Yami enters the gate slowly. She saw an old man sitting in the couch and an middle aged man standing beside him.

Rin greets the old man and said,"She is the daughter of Elder sister."

Old man stares at Yami, as Yami was about to say something. Old man stands and hugs Yami tightly and starts crying, saying"Oh ho, my precious granddaughter, where was you? Your grandfather was so lonely with you."

Yami didn't expect this reaction from his grandfather. Her uncle starts wiping his tears of happiness. Rin was laughing with hiding her mouth.

After everything settled down, Rin sees the two off from the exit gate. Yami saw Hikaru there, fully healed from his injuries. Rin said to yami,"He is going to accompany you in this journey. Please take care of him."

Yuki's eyes starts burning with fire and with a devilish smile said,"I'll kill him for his daring."

Hikaru unsheathing his sword and said,"I'm ready whenever you are."

Yami trying to calm these two down. Rin said in her mind,"Be safe in you journey. I'll pray for your safety."
