Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Chatting

It's not a good feeling to have a gun pointed at you, especially a loaded automatic rifle.

It's hard for anyone to stay calm when a cold black hole is aiming directly at their head.

However, among these people, the Joker is not included.

Instead of saying that the Joker is a human being, it's better to say he is an extremely twisted soul.

His existence seems to want to prove that there is no light in the world; he is the representative of darkness.

The Joker was already dead when he was tortured by his father, and what is alive now is just a twisted soul.

Naturally, a dead man is not afraid of death; the Joker can still laugh when several automatic rifles are pointed at him.

"Wow, you really went all out to catch me."

"Let me guess who you are, Falcone? Or a member of the Maroni family? No, they don't have that technology."

"Are you from the Wayne family?" Joker said nervously while smiling.

He completely ignored some drones loaded with these killer weapons as if they were nothing.

"Mr. Joker, you know a lot, but you haven't touched the essence."

"In Gotham City, the Wayne family is not the only one that dominates advanced technology," Jason said mysteriously with some contempt mixed in.

Although the Joker will definitely die today, he still doesn't want to reveal his identity.

Both DC and Marvel are equally dangerous worlds, not to mention the overlap of the two.

There really are monsters everywhere, and there are as many gods as dogs on the streets.

What if someone else learns his identity or kidnaps him because of his intelligence?

There are too many magical powers in this world; even Lucifer exists. Jason thought it would be better for him to keep a low profile.

Therefore, he directly prepared to hide his identity and blame others.

Sure enough, the Joker got interested when he heard what Jason said.

"Are you from Stagg?"

Stagg is another major high-tech company in Gotham City.

Stagg Industries is to Gotham City what Stark Industries is to New York City, nothing more than a real arms dealer.

And it goes even further than Stark Industries, as it often secretly arrests people to conduct human experiments.

"Don't compare me to those arms dealers from Stagg."

Jason said, pretending to be unhappy.

"Wow, sir, you seem to be a very mysterious figure!" The Joker made an exaggerated expression, and an exaggerated smile appeared on his face.

"Joker, you don't have to act like a madman; it won't do you any good. I know you very well."

"Before you started committing crimes, you were an ordinary person who was rejected by your parents."

"Am I right, Mr. Jack?"

"That's enough, stop talking!"

The smile on the Joker's face suddenly disappeared, and he stared at the drone fiercely.

Jason smiled behind the monitor; everyone has their own limit. For example, for the Joker, it's taboo for others to tell him his true identity and mention his parents.

Freeze's Achilles' heel is his wife; everyone has weaknesses, including madmen.

"It turns out that a madman like you can also get angry. I thought you were just a brainless lunatic." Jason said sarcastically.

The Joker said nothing, staring at the drone and looking around, pretending to search for Jason, but rather looking for a way to escape.

"Mr. Joker, don't think about escaping; I can tell you that today you're dead. I'm not as pedantic as Batman." The Joker looked around and showed his characteristic crazy smile again.

"Wow, who did I think you were? It turns out you're another pathetic guy who thinks he's righteous."

"Hahaha!" Jason laughed.

"Maybe I'm a scoundrel, right? Compared to you, at least I have a harmonious family." The Joker's eyebrows twitched when he heard this.

If it weren't for the drone, the Joker felt he would have used the cruelest punishment in the world to deal with the man in front of him.

However, he quickly controlled his emotions. "Wow, what a righteous tone, but the justice you worship is just a disgusting facade..."

"Alright, Mr. Joker, there's no need to preach your story. The fact that you've been treated unfairly is no excuse to be cynical."

"Some people can still become messengers of justice even if they see their parents get shot."

"You're just looking for a grand excuse for your own selfishness and to satisfy your twisted desires."

"The difference between you and me is that I can control my desires, but you're just a slave to them."

"Moreover, compared to the Court of Owls, you play a minor role."

Jason's tone was full of sarcasm.

He looks down on the Joker; if it weren't for his extraordinary IQ, the Joker would just be a common psychopath.

His tragic experience is not an excuse to take revenge on society.

"Ha, your justice is simply..." The Joker still wanted to argue indifferently.

"Enough, Mr. Joker, I'm afraid you don't even know what the Court of Owls is, do you?"

"The sins you boast about are not that remarkable." Jason sneered.

Gotham is not called Sin City because of a few criminals with super abilities.

The Court of Owls hidden deep within the city and many criminal organizations are the root of Gotham's evil.

Even Wayne Enterprises was once part of this group behind the scenes.

Without Batman, the Joker would actually just be a Joker causing havoc.

"Alright, Mr. Joker, do you have any last words?"

"If you don't, I'll send you to meet your God. Oh no, people like you will definitely go to hell."

"By the way, let me tell you, believe it or not, hell really exists."

"Sir, I don't think we have any irreparable conflict. I think we can still talk; I can give you a lot of money," the Joker said while laughing.

Although he's not afraid of death, that doesn't mean he wants to die; there are many things he hasn't achieved yet. For example, he hasn't defeated his dear Batsy, so he can't die!

"Stolen money?" Jason sneered sarcastically.

"Mr. Joker, if you do something, be prepared to suffer the consequences. I believe what you've committed is enough to sentence you to death."

"Although there is no such punishment in Gotham City, it's just a way out for those who made the law."

"I don't care about those corrupt laws; I'll give you the full service, but don't worry, it won't be painful." Having said this, Jason activated the drone without saying a word.

But to his surprise, his drone didn't move at all. The lethal poison bullets that were supposed to turn the Joker into a sieve didn't come out.

"How can this be?" Jason murmured to himself.
