For a few days, I stuck to a routine: daily quests in the morning, taking notes during lectures, training and studying at night. At the academy, I kept up the guise of Jinichi the average student—the one with big aspirations and dreams that his talent would not let him achieve. While at night, I schemed on how to make use of my knowledge and the system to my advantage. My silent efforts went unnoticed by some of my classmates, who would just laugh at my actions. Only a few of them noticed the change in my behavior, my sensei included.

With a final grunt, I got up from my exercise mat and looked at the familiar screen in front of me.

With a smile on my face, I went to take a shower

Coming back from the shower, I was left with my thoughts on how to proceed forward. Without a moment's hesitation, I willed my inventory to life.

A purple screen appeared before me.
'System, wouldn't it be suspicious for me to just spawn weapons in my hands without any hand signs?'
[Do you have something in mind, Player [Jinichi Wataru]?]
'Yes, I believe it would be better if my inventory was in the form of a scroll, one that I could summon and use to get weapons and items. That would enable me to at least avoid suspicion.'
[Understood, [Player] [Jinichi Wataru].]
[ POOF! ]
A sealed scroll appeared before me. With a tap, the scroll unfurled before me, and I selected all the items in it, making them appear before me in a puff of smoke. In front of me to my left were two scrolls, one with a blue ribbon and another with a golden ribbon. The next item to my right was a ticket that looked like some sort of talisman, glowing with an unusual sparkle around it.
I tried my best to open the scrolls, but they didn't respond.
[The player doesn't necessarily need to physically read scrolls. By saying [observe], the user is then filled with knowledge of the scroll's contents.]
Picking up the scroll with the golden ribbon, I then followed the steps of the system.
'Observe.'
In the next second, the scroll dissipated into light particles before entering me, much to my surprise. I was then left reeling in pain from the bulk of information I was receiving in that moment. The pain lasted for a while, causing me to lay in bed for the time being. When the transfer was done, I was greeted with a new screen.

The art of fighting via rotation and balance. By rotating oneself in the midst of throwing out a flurry of punches and kicks, one is capable of defending themselves while redirecting the blows of their opponent.

Although the memory of the fighting style seemed to be engraved within me, the experience that comes with it was missing; hence, I was nothing more than a novice.
'System, although I'm still a novice at using spinjitzu, does that mean I'll have my own spinjitzu tornado?'
[No, the player will not be able to form the tornado immediately, but with enough mastery of the skill and leveling up of the player's Speed stats, the force of the user's rotation will naturally generate a wind-like vortex around the player, which can pull in enemies or deflect attacks.]
'Ok, with that cleared up, let's go onto the next scroll.'
Picking up the next scroll, I then got to work.
'Observe.'
The familiar feeling of information being transferred to my mind occurred. It would have been a nice feeling if only the process didn't always give me a headache.

Well, chakra, my dear player, is an energy source present in all living things of the shinobi world; it is an integral part of a shinobi. With low chakra capacity, one is unable to cast jutsu, hence hindering their development as ninjas. It is the mixture of mental energy and a person's stamina. Chakra requires balance; if one's chakra is unbalanced, casting jutsu becomes extremely hard for the ninja. The more chakra one has, the harder it is for them to control.

A new sensation welled up in me, a warmth that felt distant to me and also very familiar to my body. The energy covered me from head to toe; I felt it flowing through my veins. With the unlocking of my chakra, my body felt like it was finally complete, like the final switch, the final piece of the puzzle, had finally been put in place.
'So this is my chakra, huh.. it feels like my body has some other sort of energy source. Some people on Earth would have killed just to feel the sensation of chakra, but to my body, it just felt normal, as if I hadn't just done something noteworthy.'
Clenching my fist, I tried to regulate the flow of my chakra, willing it to focus a larger quantity of it on my fist. My chakra didn't respond. So I tried a different approach.

I tried to imagine my chakra flowing down my arm into my hand, trying to imitate a layman's form of chakra enhancement.

This time, the chakra followed my will and slowly but surely guided itself into my hand. The hand glowed a faint blue as a result of the chakra.
'I need to remember this feeling.'
It stayed like that for a few seconds before I lost control of it.
'I still need more practice, but for now, let's open the final reward.'
The instructions for the ticket were written on it—a rather straightforward procedure, simply tear it. With the talisman in hand, I ripped it, causing a casino-like machine to appear in my mind before spinning for a while. The nervousness on my face would be evident if there was anyone else in the room; the fear of getting an unknown element I was unfamiliar with gnawed at me from the inside. The machine slowed down before it finally landed on....!
