Arthur had refused to kill his father in the future. Sedah had no reply to his statement. Arthur was nervous as he looked up at Sedah, but to his surprise, he saw a sad and lonely gaze within his eyes.
"Ah! It's time for me to leave; I have other matters to attend to. Haha!" Swiftly, the swordsman took his leave.
Not once had Sedah ever shown any type of weakness to Arthur, and he usually always had a brash expression on his face. Sedah was a strong figure who paved his own path, fought countless battles and was victorious in each one of them. Arthur was taken aback by the expression on Sedah's face. Bewildered by this, the question popped into his mind...
"Why did he look so sad? It can't be because I refuse to fight him, that would never make him have an expression on his face like that."
Arthur was correct in his thought. It wasn't his refusal that made Sedah so sad. But the past. Sedah started reminiscing about a small but key portion of his long life...about a human he cherishes the most.
Sedah then spoke in a despondent tone, "Arthur...there's a reason for me achieving my goal."

Sedah's Past
A few lifetimes ago, when Sedah was young, he experienced an innocent love for someone. To this day, he still remembers every moment he spent with her as if it were yesterday.
At the age of eleven, Sedah had crawled his way up out of the ground. To his surprise, he came to find a vast, endless sky above him.
He was surrounded by trees and wildlife; everything was so full of life, from the trees to the grass. Everything he saw was magnificent and far from what he saw underground.
Sedah had dirt marks everywhere from all the climbing and digging, his nails battered up and scratches on his skin everywhere from his head all the way down to his toes. He heard the sounds of chirping in the distance. As he roamed through the forest,
following this unfamiliar sound, he gathered berries to eat. He kept going further, wandering and wondering.
"Hey, you! Do you need help or somethin'? Why are you all so dirty? Clean yourself up!"
A brash voice came at him from behind, and as he turned around, awe filled his gaze. In Sedah's view, it was as if the moon came down and took shape in the form of a human.
But at this point, he couldn't articulate that feeling into words, so Sedah said something he'd be embarrassed about for as long as he lived.
"You look so pretty!" Those simple words came out naturally, and as soon as he realised what he had just said, his face turned bright pink, simultaneously with that of the girl.
These were Sedah's first words to his first and only ever love.
"H-H-H-Haaah! What di-di-did you jus' say to me? I'm p-p-pretty?" The girl said, stuttering in a rough tomboyish voice.
She had long, black, silky hair and skin that looked smooth and white like snow. Her lips were full and coloured a light pink. She had a bit of dirt on her clothes and face. Her sharp and angular eyes looked so full of life, captivating one of the future's greatest warriors, Sedah the hero, who had yet to be written in history. He had fallen weak to her gaze, believing that staring at her eyes for too long would hypnotise him and make his brain go mindless. Sedah had fallen in love at first sight, even though he didn't know it at the time.
"Ah-h s-s-stop looking at me! I'm not gonna be controlled by you!" Sedah said with full conviction.
"Haaaah! What'cha mean controlled? How the hell could I?"
"Your eyes! I can't stop looking at them!"
She stepped back, covering her eyes with her hands, her face full of embarrassment.
"...Do you even know what you're saying..." the girl said quietly, unable to fully cover her embarrassment.
"What did you say?" Sedah replied.
"Agh, nothin' shorty! Anyways who are you meant to be? Why are you here, and more importantly, what's with the tiny little horns sticking out of your head?" She pointed at his forehead.
Humans had no idea demons existed, as this was long before demons surfaced and brought chaos to the world; therefore, you could say Sedah was the first demon to ascend.
"My name...my name..is..S-Sedah! As for why I'm here, I don't really know and..I don't have tiny horns! They're gonna grow!" Sedah said defensively.
"Sedah...that's a really stupid name! My name is way cooler! Lyanna! That's my name. Twelve years old! Nice ta meet'cha!" She proudly exclaimed, pointing with a smug face as she pointed towards herself.
"Ah! It's getting dark; I assume you have nowhere to sleep tonight; I'll show you the way to my home; it's in a village, and the people there are really nice; you'll love it!" Lyanna said cheerfully with a great, big smile, showing her perfect white teeth, her canines just as sharp as her insults.
"...Your name is...stupid", Sedah said discreetly as he followed behind, his hand grabbed by Lyanna's hand. Sedah felt warm even though all he was wearing were thin, tattered clothes.
