Chapter 1333 - Chapter 1241: Liberation

Kongshan Temple has existed for ten thousand years, spanning the Li and Tang Dynasties, making it a truly eternal famous monastery.

The current Kongshan Temple is located deep in the mountains, a hundred li away from the nearest town. The temple consists of four successive courtyards and two additional compounds, one for monks and the other for storing magic artifacts and miscellaneous goods. The temple walls are covered with mountain vines, and moss grows on the gate. The entire temple houses only ten or so monks, living off the hundred mu of mountain fields cultivated around the temple.

Wei Yuan stood in front of the mountain gate, looking up at the plaque with the words 'Kongshan Temple' carved into it. The paint was flaking, long overdue for a repainting.

But the green and ancient simplicity were just illusions—how could a remote ancient temple, unable to sustain thirty people with its meager fields, produce Han Zhong and Hanchan, two Imperials?
