Ahu smiled slightly, and everyone in the room held their breath, even Beike hesitated for a few seconds.
"Ah, Ahu, you're finally back! We've all been waiting anxiously for you."
Beike quickly composed his facial expression and took a swift step towards Ahu, greeting him with a smile and whispering quietly. Clearly, Beike knew Ahu had heard his words, which is why he deliberately changed the subject.
Most importantly, Beike badly wanted to know whether Ahu had accomplished the task during his trip.
"I say, Boss Bei, I've been out there sweating for your sake, begging on your behalf, and not only did you not pray for me, but you went ahead and started gossiping about me running away. Do you even have a conscience?"
At this point, everyone in the small cabin fell silent, bowing their heads without daring to make a sound.
