When the U.S. presidential election was going on, he firmly stood on Plant's side, even used cash to buy votes, helping the old guy into office.
After he got into office, or rather after he succeeded, Plant would definitely thank him, like the government placing orders with his companies, or letting him come out and take some official post.
Indeed, Mark kept blasting the U.S. government for being bloated, saying they should lay people off and set up some kind of government efficiency department or whatever.
This actually had a certain market within Plant's political philosophy.
