Robbin started to sweat on his forehead.
"Sir, I'm not afraid, I just feel—"
"What do you feel?" The other person's voice grew colder: "Do you think a yellow-skinned contractor is tougher than our entire company AAFES? Do you think a mercenary is harder to deal with than us? Robbin, you disappoint me."
Robbin closed his mouth.
The phone was silent for a few seconds.
Then, the other person's voice softened a bit.
"Alright, I got it. Don't worry about this matter for now. I'll report to the board and arrange a meeting tomorrow to discuss it. I'll inform you once we have a result."
"Okay, sir."
"Robbin."
"Yes."
"Be careful. Since that person could find the accountant, and Victor, he might find you too. Move somewhere else, go out less, report anything at any time."
"Understood."
The call ended.
Robbin put down the phone, leaned back in his chair, and closed his eyes.
The office was very quiet, only the hum of the air conditioning system.
He suddenly felt very tired.
