The heavy wooden doors of the Hokage's office stood tall, separating the quiet hallway from the heart of the village's power. Inside, the room was filled with the faint scent of old paper and ink.
A man sat behind the large wooden desk, his figure partially hidden by stacks of documents and reports. He wore a clean white haoiri that draped over his shoulders, the fabric catching the soft light of the desk lamp.
His head was bowed, focused entirely on the brush in his hand as he signed one paper after another. The only sound in the room was the rhythmic scratching of the brush against the paper.
KNOCK.
The sound landed hard against the door—sharp, deliberate—and echoed through the room like a command.
The man in the white haoiri didn't look up. His eyes remained fixed on his work, his expression calm and steady.
"Come in.." he said simply.
The heavy doors creaked open. A figure stepped into the room, moving with the silent, disciplined grace of a professional. Instead of walking toward the desk, the visitor immediately dropped to one knee, bowing his head deeply.
"Hokage-sama." the visitor spoke, his voice muffled by a mask.
The man at the desk finally paused. He set his brush down and looked up, his bright eyes softening as he recognized the white-haired ninja kneeling on the floor.
"Kakashi..." he said, a small, warm smile appearing on his face. "There is no need for that. We are not in the middle of a formal meeting."
He stood up from his chair and walked around the desk. His movements were quick and fluid. He reached Kakashi and placed a firm, steady hand on the young man's shoulder.
"Get up." he said kindly, his hand tightening slightly on the shoulder as he literally helped pull Kakashi back to his feet.
The two men stood face-to-face in the quiet office, the weight of the long journey still hanging in the air. For a moment, it seemed like a normal night in Konoha, with a leader simply welcoming home one of his most trusted shinobi.
The man's warm smile didn't last long. His face suddenly grew still, his expression turning sharp and serious. The air in the room felt heavy as he looked toward the window.
"We can't talk over here." the man said, his voice dropping to a low, quiet tone.
Kakashi blinked, shocked by the sudden change. "But..."
Before he could finish, the man's grip on his shoulder tightened. In a sudden blur of motion, the office vanished.
The transition was so fast that the air seemed to shout around them. A massive gust of wind passed through them, moving through their clothes with incredible force.
The man's blonde hair blew wildly in the strong wind, and his white haoiri snapped loudly against the storm. As he looked out into the distance, his eyes shone with a brilliant intensity, catching the reflection of the brightest star in the night sky.
Kakashi gasped, his heart racing. The wind was so strong that it ripped the hood of his cloak clean off his head.
His white hair flew back, and both of his eyes—the black and the piercing red—widened in total shock as he realized they had moved to a different place entirely.
He looked around, trying to find his bearings. He realized they were standing hundreds of feet above the village, perched on the very top of the Hokage statues. Below them, the lights of the village twinkled, but up there, the wind was powerful and cold.
The man in the haori moved with calm grace. He sat down directly on the weathered stone of the monument and placed a firm hand on the rock beside him, gesturing for Kakashi to join him.
Kakashi sat down slowly, still trying to process the jump. "What's the matter? Why couldn't we stay in the Hokage building?"
The man stared out at the horizon, his expression unreadable. "A lot happened..." he replied simply.
Kakashi sat down beside him, looking at the man's profile. "Is it something serious?"
The man didn't look back. He remained perfectly still, looking up at the vast, dark sky, appearing completely unbothered by the heights or the cold. They sat there in silence, high above the world, watching the stars.
The man in the white haori turned his head, his gaze finally leaving the stars to settle on the young ninja beside him. His eyes were calm, but they carried a weight that made the air feel even heavier.
"I received word from Inoichi-san that you were expected to arrive two days ago." the haori man said, looking directly into Kakashi's eyes. "What was the delay about?"
Kakashi felt a chill that had nothing to do with the mountain wind. He looked away, his gloved hand tightening on his knee. "Yeah... I was delayed. It's just that something happened. Something I'm not quite able to get a grip on yet."
The haori man didn't look away. He kept his steady gaze fixed on Kakashi, reading the hesitation in his posture.
"If you are having trouble telling me something important—something that caused such a long delay—then it's okay." he said softly.
Kakashi looked back at him, his mind racing. His eyes searched the face of the man in front of him, looking for any sign of a flaw or a trick.
"Sensei... I mean, Hokage-sama.." he stammered, his voice shaking slightly. "I'm not able to decide if what I say is true. I don't know if what I am saw in front of my own eyes was even real. I am so... confused."
He was looking at the face he had seen in the villages—the same face that sat before him now, yet different.
The man in the haori looked back up at the sky, his expression softening as if he understood the burden Kakashi was carrying.
"It's okay, Kakashi. Don't take too much on yourself. Take your time to think and decide what you have to do. In the meantime, I'll tell my part of the story."
Kakashi froze. "Your part of the story?"
He stood up quickly, his survival instincts kicking in. His white hair blowing around his face as he looked down at the seated leader.
"What's the matter? Did something happen in Konoha? Did someone... come here?"
The haori man sighed, the sound lost in the wind. "Well, both could be the answer. Something happened, and someone came, too."
Kakashi's heart hammered against his ribs. He thought of the mysterious man he had walked with and the names that had been dropped like poison. "Who was it? Was it a raven-haired...?"
The man in the white haori became deathly serious. He stood up, the light of the village below making his shadow look sharp against the darkness.
"A conflict has been born, Kakashi." he said, his voice cold and firm. "And according to your intel... they have arrived."
The air on the mountain felt colder than before. Kakashi stood frozen, his eyes fixed on the man in the white haori, but his mind was already miles away, trapped in a memory from his journey.
'They have arrived?'
The words echoed in his head, repeating over and over like a haunting rhythm. 'Who has arrived? They have arrived... they have arrived... they have arrived...'
As the words left the man's mouth, a chill ran down his spine as he remembered a voice. His mind was suddenly pulled back to the road—to the dark silence of the forest and the voice of the man he had walked with—not warm but a sly, cold one from the road.
He could almost hear that other voice again, whispering with those slow, chilling pauses...
'I wonder...' The memory was so vivid it felt like the man was standing right behind him.
'...have you seen people... around my age? Perhaps...'
Kakashi's hands began to tremble beneath his cloak.
'...with pale eyes? Or... with raven hair? A man called... the BLACK DEVIL?'
He looked at the white haori man his eye wide with a sudden, quick fear. The confusion he had been feeling for the last two days was finally reaching a breaking point.
It wasn't just a dream or a genjutsu; the world was shifting around him, and he was caught right in the center of a conflict he didn't understand.
The wind moved across the stone faces of the monuments, threatening to swallow Kakashi's voice.
He stood there, his gaze fixed on the back of the white haoiri man, wondering if he was speaking to the truth or a carefully crafted illusion.
'I have to be careful.' Kakashi thought, his fingers twitching near the hem of his cloak.
'I can't just tell him. If I say I saw another him—a man who carried himself with the same authority but felt like he belonged to a different life or maybe time—the world might just shatter. I need to lead him there slowly.'
He took a quick breath, his voice thin but steady.
"On the road... near the borders..." Kakashi began, choosing his words carefully. "I didn't travel alone. For a while, I walked with a stranger. It was a simple meeting... just two travelers sharing the same path for a time."
The man in the white haoiri didn't move. He remained as steady as the mountain itself, his eyes still fixed on the stars.
'A fellow traveler?' the man thought, his mind processing the information with a calm curiosity.
'What is so wrong with meeting a stranger on the road? Kakashi is overthinking a simple encounter... his nerves are clearly disturbed. He's struggling with something deeper, and he's using this as a shield.'
On the outside, the man maintained a gentle, grounding presence. He could sense the internal conflict coming out from the young ninja, a storm of doubt that threatened to pull him under. To keep him steady, he offered a small, reassuring nod.
"It is good that you spoke with him." the haoiri man said, his tone warm and encouraging.
"Successfully interacting with a fellow traveler shows that you are keeping your senses sharp, Kakashi. You shouldn't be so troubled by a common meeting. It's a sign that you're staying connected to the world."
'He has no idea..' Kakashi thought, his heart sinking into a cold pit of dread.
'He thinks I'm talking about a mere wanderer I passed in the woods. He has no idea that the 'stranger' I walked with knows the ghosts of Konoha... names I haven't even encountered in this life.'
Kakashi looked at the man's calm body, the words stuck in his throat. He had started with the traveler, but the shadow of the other man—the one who looked exactly like the person standing before him—stood over them both like a silent executioner.
'Was I walking with a man who knew you... or was I walking with someone... who knew what you are going to become?'
The wind howled louder, as if trying to warn them of the storm brewing in their
conversation. Kakashi gripped the edge of the stone monument, his voice trembling with the weight of what he had to say.
"Sensei... please, just listen to me." Kakashi pleaded. "I entered the gates of Konoha with a man who knew the very roots of this village. A man who knows exactly who you are."
The man in the white haoiri stood up slowly, his shadow tall and calm against the starlight. He didn't seem threatened. Instead, a faint, humble smile touched his lips.
"Well... it's actually quite heartening to hear that the world knows who I am." he said softly, looking out over the village. "Especially considering how short my time as the Hokage has been."
'Damn it! He isn't understanding it.' Kakashi thought, a bead of cold sweat rolling down his temple.
'Why is he so usually calm today. Is he too much happy today that he doesn't want to ruin his mood by listening to all these warnings?'
"Hokage-sama!" Kakashi snapped, forcing the man to look at him. "The man told me... he was a good friend of yours."
The air changed instantly. The man in the haoiri froze, his brow furrowing as the word 'friend' clicked in his mind. The relaxed posture vanished, replaced by a sharp seriousness.
Kakashi continued, the words spilling out like a confession. "He told me that when he learned you were the leader of Konoha—when he heard you were the Hokage—he felt as though destiny had finally given him a second chance. He said... that you would be the one to help him."
The haoiri man's eyes narrowed into the rocks. "I'm sorry... what? What did you just say?" He stepped forward, the warmth gone from his voice. "Who in the world did you meet out there, Kakashi?"
"AN UCHIHA!"
The calm of the white haoiri man didn't just crack; it shattered. He ran forward, his hand snapping out to grab Kakashi's shoulder with a grip like iron. His face was pale, his eyes wide with a desperate, sudden hunger for the truth.
"The name..." he demanded, his voice low and dangerous. "What was his name, Kakashi?!"
"UCHIHA..."
"HIKARU"
Kakashi whispered. "He said that you would help him reclaim his position in the Uchiha Clan—the one that was snatched away from him years ago by the—"
"But that... that is impossible!" the man in the haoiri cut him off. His face was a mask of pure shock, his breath coming in short, uneven hitches.
"How could he? How could he still be alive? The death... the war... was it all a lie?"
He seemed to lose himself for a moment, his gaze drifting into a horrific memory of a battlefield from years ago. He was staring at nothing, his mind spinning in circles of grief and confusion.
"Hokage-sama!" Kakashi shouted, trying to pull him back.
"Hokage-sama!"
The man snapped back to reality, his eyes refocusing on Kakashi, though they were still filled with a lingering terror.
Kakashi took a breath and delivered the final message, the exact words that had been echoing in his head since the gates opened.
"He told me that he would pay his visit to the Uchiha Clan first." Kakashi said, his voice dropping to a low, heavy tone. "And once he is finished there, he will come to find... "
"MINATO... "

Let's talk about the real chaos 👇
You all thought they were finally 'home'…
But nope.
They are NOT in the timeline they think they are.
In fact… everyone is wrong.
(Okay not everyone… but almost 😏)
🌀 Here's the truth (pay attention 👀):
Neji → Future
Tenten → Future
Karin → Future
Naruto → Present
Lee → Present
Sakura → Past (just before Chunin Exams)
Sasuke → Past
Ino → Past
💀 So what does this mean?
👉 Technically… Sasuke and Ino were the closest to being right.
BUT—
Even THEY never imagined this:
They didn't just go to the past…
They landed in a time where:
The Fourth Hokage is alive
Their parents exist… but don't recognize them
And in some cases…
👉 Some of them aren't even born yet 🙂
Yeah… let that sink in.
😈 And now the important part…
Everything happening right now?
It's NOT random.
It's a result of all of them—
from different timelines—
being pulled into ONE single point.
And because of that…
👉 Something else was forced into this timeline too or maybe forced the way in. 😉
(Yeah… you know who I'm talking about.)
👀 One last thing…
Pay VERY close attention to what Kakashi says.
He's confused… but he's also seeing the truth.
👉 The real explanation?
Coming in the next chapters.
And trust me…
It's going to get more messed up before it makes sense 😌🔥
💬 Now your turn
If you're confused—GOOD 😏
If you're excited—EVEN BETTER
Drop your theories.
Ask your questions.
And yes…
You are allowed to badmouth me a little 🤭
See you in the next chapter 👁️🔥

Got you—short, sharp, and punchy like a real shonen teaser ⚡
SNEAK PEEK LINES 💬
"How could you be so... so flat dattebayo?!"
"The past is heavy"
⚡ NEXT CHAPTER ⚡
A home that doesn't exist.
A village that feels… wrong.
And a woman whose words hit deeper than any jutsu—
even though she doesn't know who stands before her.
Naruto's confusion turns into something far more dangerous…
Because in a world where time itself is broken— some bonds are destined to meet.
