Later, during lessons, Rita had once asked QM Foolishness why she hadn't tried researching that clock together with Starsea Foolishness.
By all logic, they should have had plenty of time. Even if they could only meet for three minutes a day, as long as they agreed on a location, after so many years they should have accumulated enough attempts to reach some kind of conclusion.
QM Foolishness's answer had been blunt:
"My soul flame has already become part of the Order Clock. I can't influence it. As for Starsea Foolishness… her soul flame is too calm."
Rita translated that silently in her head.
In short, both of those research fanatics had their own issues. One couldn't interfere, the other simply couldn't ignite.
Over the past few days, Rita had also tried countless times beside this miniature Order Clock, the so called clock arena. She recalled everything since the beginning of the invasion, all the moments that had shaped her, all the choices she had made.
