Jonas City,
Lis lifted his head, gazing through the magical barrier of Jonas City towards the horizon of the sky.
Outside the city, the sky had long lost its original color, and the swirling dark clouds resembled boiling ink.
Deep within the clouds, dark purple lightning silently slithered like countless venomous snakes flicking their tongues.
The air was filled with a decayed and frenzied ambiance.
That was the aura of Divine Power belonging to the Prince of Lies, Shirek!
Chaos, Deceit, and chill permeated the atmosphere, like countless fine needles attempting to pierce through every solid barrier.
The golden glow of Jonas City's magical barrier rippled like waves across the city walls, reflecting the blue curtain cast by Minos Floating City above the sky.
Layer upon layer of barriers firmly resisted the divine might descending from the heavens, isolating the city inside from the outside world.
Yet, even those within the barrier, many mages still felt uneasy.
