Ten Shin Han looked at his opponent. Although he was holding his own in the fight, two things pushed him to end the battle quickly: his opponent's willingness to sacrifice himself and the fact that four of the strongest fighters were unleashing their full aura, signaling that the conflict was entering a new phase.
This was why he held his hand outstretched, forming a mudra in preparation for his final attack. The three-eyed warrior channeled his ki, and three spheres of energy emerged around him.
"Tri-Beam!" Ten Shin Han shouted. Those spheres elongated and turned into thin beams of energy that pierced the Saibaman's chest and head. Then they exploded inside him.
The detonation produced light, heat, shockwaves, and a lot of dust. Even though visibility was zero, Ten Shin Han knew the enemy had been neutralized because of his extra eye and Ki perception.
This allowed him to fight other enemies. He first surveyed the battlefield and observed the fight Krillin was waging, or rather, the one that was ending at that very moment. The former monk held a mass of extremely hot ki in his hands, causing the surrounding air to distort. The Saibaman he was facing watched this situation warily because, although he had been born less than 30 minutes ago, he wasn't a fool.
The creature slowly raised its arms, flashed a smile, and made unintelligible noises as if surrendering to its Earthling enemy. However, Krillin, the most compassionate of them all, wasn't convinced.
"I'm sorry, but you're a threat to everyone and an invader of our world," said the little warrior before firing his energy blast. The blast quickly engulfed the Saibaman's body, reducing it to ashes due to the extreme heat.
Although Krillin felt a little uneasy, he felt no remorse after coming to this conclusion because he was doing the right thing and it was his duty. But before springing into action, he pressed his palms together in prayer.
"I hope that in your next life, you have a different fate than this one. You are a pure being who did not deserve to be used in such a vile way," the warrior prayed solemnly before turning his gaze to Ten Shin Han, who nodded in agreement.
They both knew without saying a word that they had to eliminate the remaining Saibamen to effectively support Goku and Bulma. Their auras blazed as they flew toward Piccolo and Yamcha, who were dealing with the remaining trio of enemies.
With the arrival of the new fighters, it was now four against three. They easily took out one Saibamen, but this caused the other two to look at each other and join hands. This surprised and frightened their enemies.
Their green bodies began to glow, and an ominous and dangerous feeling emanated from them. Yamcha, who had faced this situation before, opened his eyes as wide as possible while his pupils shrank to tiny dots.
"Run!" The warrior shouted, positioning himself in front of the beings as he unleashed all his energy outward. His actions did not go unnoticed, but his companions had already moved quite far away.
"Yamcha!" Krillin shouted, but the swordsman turned his back to him, his long hair flowing in the wind. He didn't turn around, but the monk imagined that his friend had a mischievous smile on his face.
"Don't worry... I won't die here." The warrior's energy transformed into a ki sword. With his body pushed to the limit, he sliced through the air just as the explosion occurred.
Since the two Saibamen joined forces to explode, the result was massive and powerful this time. However, just as the ball of energy and heat was about to spread, it was cut in half and dissipated to the sides, losing all its power.
Yamcha shook his head slightly and looked at his trembling hand. He had used all that he had learned over the years to make a cut that sliced through the explosion, splitting it in two.
It was a technique he was developing that wasn't quite ready yet, but he could see the results. His slash had even created a crack in the planet's reinforced ground. The crack extended toward a large rock and split it in two as well.
The rock formation was split cleanly and smoothly, with both sides separated. This was the result of Yamcha's most powerful attack. Though it wasn't aimed at an enemy, it demonstrated his immense power. Both Vegeta and Nappa, who had just finished boosting their power, looked at him with fear.
"To think that on this backward, desolate planet there would be such a skilled swordsman... HAHAHAHA! Kakarot! It seems I understand a little why you fight for the Earthlings!" Enveloped in the aura generated by his technique, with his power doubled, Vegeta laughed at the situation, finding it extremely amusing. Though he eyed Yamcha warily, he had to admit, that man was powerful.
"Yamcha has always loved using swords, whether they're made of metal or energy. While I train to perfect my martial arts, he trains to improve his mastery of that weapon. I admire him greatly, as well as all of them," replied Goku, bathed in the glow of the Kaio-Ken.
"To think that you, Kakarot, a low-class Saiyan, would reach this level of power... Truly, we Saiyans were blessed by the universe. But your path ends here, before me, a high-class Saiyan and your prince," Vegeta declared, his face serious as he considered Kakarot a threat to be eliminated immediately.
"It's not your level of talent that matters, but the effort you put into it. I wouldn't have achieved this power without the people who taught, guided, and nurtured me to reach these heights. I suppose I'm not a typical Saiyan. I was raised on Earth, and now I'll show you just how capable the lower class can be," Goku replied in a neutral tone. He adopted a fighting stance, inspiring his enemy to mirror his actions.
If they had previously fought because one had invaded the other's home, another layer could now be added to their conflict: a literal clash of classes! If Planet Vegeta still existed, Goku would be an ordinary citizen, and Vegeta would be of the highest nobility.
Without a word, their bodies flew toward each other and collided in midair. Their fists were the first to meet, clashing against one another. However, the result was only a slight shockwave, and Vegeta was sent reeling backward with a look of astonishment on his face.
"What was that?" He asked instinctively, though he didn't expect an answer. In the universe, no one was foolish enough to reveal their capabilities to an enemy. The Saiyan still hadn't gotten used to the fact that this was Earth, though.
"A long time ago, I met someone capable of completely controlling their strength and actions. I've been training hard in this. What you felt was that you took almost 100% of my attack without dispersing much energy," Goku explained simply. He figured his enemy would figure it out soon anyway, so there was no need to hide it.
"I see... Earth is really peculiar. Too strange. Can such a technique really be achieved? Aside from the Namekian and the potential wealth resulting from the conquest of this world, another one of this world's surprises would be these abilities," said the prince. He felt a desire to learn more about the mysteries of Earth. However, right now was not the time to dwell on this. Rather, he had to end the fight quickly. To do so, he devised a strategy that would help him achieve victory.
He felt pressured seeing that the other Earthlings were idle. He couldn't let himself fall behind again! Despite his nerves, he remained calm, having grown accustomed to this through his many life-or-death experiences.
He had survived on dozens of worlds and faced thousands of warriors with different techniques, magic, and psychic powers that he would never have encountered if he had ventured out normally. As much as he disliked Frieza, he had to admit that the latter had given him a platform to prove himself as a warrior time and again, which allowed him to be alive today.
He resumed the fight but kept his guard up, knowing Kakarot's physical attacks were more effective than usual. He used his speed to dodge his enemy's punches and kicks but didn't strike back.
Goku was pensive and hesitant because he didn't know why his enemy was behaving this way. He wondered: Was this part of the invader's plan? Was there something he hadn't noticed?
The warrior became nervous, and his mind wandered. He needed to stay alert for an imminent attack from Vegeta, who noticed the small flaws his enemy was revealing and smiled.
'The plan is working, but don't rush it. It could be a trick. The right moment... just wait for the right moment... now!' the Saiyan prince exclaimed mentally, sensing a pivotal moment to launch the next phase of his attack.
Goku sped up as much as he could. This didn't surprise Vegeta, who was already ready. He raised his physical and energy defenses, wanting to protect himself from an imminent attack. However, Vegeta didn't attack Goku. Instead, he kept going, heading straight for the Earth warriors. They had stepped aside to watch how he might interfere with the fight.
"Let's see what you do about this, Kakarot! Will you feel bad if I kill one of these guys?" the Saiyan declared grandly, concentrating a massive amount of energy in his palm while accelerating.
"Stop!" Goku realized he'd been tricked and sped toward his enemy. He fired several bursts of Ki in an attempt to block Vegeta's path. However, the prince's combat experience allowed him to dodge these Ki attacks. He had been attacked this way by multiple people at once in the past.
He felt right at home! He enjoyed seeing the look of desperation on Kakarot's face and the surprise on the Earthlings' faces. However, plans don't work out if everything goes according to plan. Something always hindered or ruined any plan devised, and this time was no exception.
There was a Namekian who had trained his entire short life and possessed exceptional talent. Seeing an imminent threat approaching, he stomped the ground and made hand gestures.
Then, Piccolo muttered several words in the Namekian dragon language, thereby casting a spell. Despite being in a hurry, he managed to complete what appeared to be a spatial trap that ensnared Vegeta. No matter how hard Vegeta flew toward the trap, he felt the distance growing wider and wider.
This caused Piccolo to break out in a sweat because he had to maintain his magical power output to keep the prince contained. Luckily, he didn't have to endure it for long because he had allies he could rely on.
Goku arrived quickly and was quite angry at having been tricked. But what could he do? His enemy was more experienced, so he would have to endure being caught off guard by tricks like this until he gained more experience.
At least now he wouldn't fall for traps like this one. He'd learned his lesson! He channeled energy into his hands and let out a furious shout as his ki built up.
"Kame!"
