"Mhm, you're amazing." Li Xiuying looked at Su Yan with admiration, her eyes sparkling—no wonder she picked him.
Su Yan's lips curled up ever so slightly. He fried two golden eggs, and while he caught Li Xiuying swallowing hard in the corner of his eye, he sped up, placing the eggs on top of the noodles, then sprinkled some scallions as a finishing touch.
"Smells so good!"
Li Xiuying started praising before she even tasted it: "Su Yan, I always thought your hands were just good for holding a scalpel, but who would've guessed you're just as amazing with a spatula."
Li Xiuying took a bite of the fried egg; both sides perfectly golden, the edges crispy and fragrant, with that delicious eggy flavor—her favorite, the candied fried eggs.
