"No way."
Xu Nianhua looked at the document with her name on it, and the huge sum of money in the bankbook. Without a second thought, she pushed it back. To her, these things were like a hot potato.
"You're my girlfriend."
Pei Yicheng very forcefully put it back in her hand, not giving her any chance to refuse.
"But I'm not your wife, am I?" Xu Nianhua replied instinctively. Only wives get bankbooks from their husbands, that's just how it goes. She said it completely out of habit, without realizing how suggestive that line actually was.
"Then let's go get our marriage certificate right now." Pei Yicheng looked at her with eager anticipation. If he wasn't worried about scaring her off, he'd have dragged her to register already.
Xu Nianhua closed the bankbook, glared at him, and said, "You're still on probation!"
Married? They've only been dating for a few months—no way they were getting married already.
