Xu Nianhua taking an extra French class shocked the students in the Foreign Languages Department, especially Shen Qichen and Xiang Yifan. The two of them considered themselves pretty good at languages.
From the moment Xu Nianhua entered the university, and every exam since, she'd always placed first. Not to mention her performance in the recent English competition—it was enough to make them admire her.
Especially that last speech; they felt they could never reach that standard. Besides, Xu Nianhua spoke on the topic of protecting water resources.
The two of them had formed a friendship because they always fought for second place. Now, hearing that Xu Nianhua was also learning French, they both fell silent.
"Next exam, I'm definitely getting first place!" Shen Qichen gritted his teeth. He'd always been first in every exam since childhood—but now?
The best he could do was second. He wasn't willing to accept that!
