Repetition.
It was something every instructor loved to preach about—whether it was swordsmanship, discipline, or even the smallest habits. Do it once, you learn. Do it twice, you remember. Do it a hundred times… and your body starts to understand without thinking.
But repetition had a flaw.
Do the same thing over and over again, and sooner or later, it turned dull. Predictable. Empty.
There are some things—the more you indulge in them, the more you crave them. Drugs, alcohol, pleasure… sex.
They sink their hooks in deep, turning into something you can't quite satisfy. No matter how many times you give in, it's never enough. You always want more. And out of all of them, sex was the worst of it—the same hunger, the same restless desire, reflected clearly in both Katherine's and Cassian's eyes.
