Morizion could not move even a millimeter, and his magic was severely disrupted as it appeared Ebadon knew exactly how to partially counter him, rather than just trying to enhance the hardness and durability of the golems only to have them cut down by Morizion.
To understand this, one must refer to one of the most fundamental theories, the framework that supports the entire current magic system.
