Sabrina stood with her friend, Elena as they stared at the beautiful necklaces,
"They only cost one silver coin each," the man said with a smile as he took out the emerald green one for Sabrina,
"Wow, it will indeed look good on you, Sabrina," Elena said with a smile.
"Sabrina?" They both turned to see Lyon, who was surprised to see Sabrina, she was dressed beautifully in a red gown along with her friend Elena and her black shiny hair tied neatly, she was looking really beautiful that he couldn't take his eyes off her and instead fell deeper in love with her, it hurts.
"Lyon! I was hoping to see you here before leaving," Sabrina said with a smile, happy to see him, "Where have you been?" She knew he was an Alpha so he must have been busy but she couldn't even get a glimpse of him all this while, she had even asked Mrs Fisher but the woman had said he only came to visit once in a while and for sometime now he hasn't visited.
"I've been busy with the pac- with business," Lyon said correctly himself as Elena was also there listening, some people didn't know what he was and even some others that are werewolves like him, "What brings you here, Sabrina? Lucian must not be in his right mind to let you come here," he grinned.
"I pleaded with him that I wanted to visit mama and will be going back tomorrow morning, I wanted to see you before I left," Sabrina said.
Elena who had been trying to make the old man reduce the price of the necklace turned to face Sabrina and Lyon, "Good evening to you, Lyon,"
"Evening to you too, Lady Elena," Lyon smiled at the young woman, "How have you been?"
"Good and you?"
"I'm good too, are you ladies buying necklaces for yourselves?" Lyon asked staring at the necklaces which he also found attractive,
He was also looking good tonight with his hair combed back and wasn't with his beta Nicolas,
"What do you think of these necklaces, doesn't it all look lovely?" Elena asked him still ogling at the necklace, "But it's just too expensive," she pouted.
"Come on, we will come back for it some other time," Sabrina said as if even she didn't have the amount. Living in the castle, she hadn't taken any money from there or spent on anything, only the jewelries and gowns that was bought for her to wear,
The old man wondered why the princess wasn't able to afford such a cheap necklace,
"I will pay for it," Lyon spoke and they all stared at him, "How much does it cost, kind sir?" He asked the man,
"Two silver coin for both, sir," the man responded,
Lyon handed the man one gold coin, even more than what the man needed for the necklaces, Elena's mouth fell open in surprise.
"Keep the change," Lyon said to the man who was as shocked as Elena while Sabrina just stared unfazed, knowing full well how wealthy he was,
"Th.... Thank you so much, sir," the man bowed more than once, thanking Lyon who waved his hand,
"Please you don't have to do that, people are watching," Lyon said feeling slightly embarrassed,
Elizabeth walked to them, she bowed slightly to her Alpha, "Greetings, Master," she said before turning to glare at Sabrina, who didn't bother to look at her and was instead smiling at Elena as she put the necklace on herself and smiled excitedly, while Sabrina held her own,
"Come, Sabrina, let me put it on for you," Lyon said not purposely ignoring Beth who reddened, and how could he help her do such a thing, she's got hands, Beth thought annoyed,
"Lyon, my father will like to speak to you right now," Beth said and Lyon who had been staring at Sabrina, glanced at Beth.
"Just a minute," he said moving close to Sabrina and taking the necklace from her while Beth frowned in anger,
"You don't have to, Lyon," Sabrina said blushing as people were already staring at them,
"I won't be a gentleman if I don't do this little thing for you," Lyon replied and Sabrina couldn't refuse him anymore,
She turned around, her smooth back facing him, he pursed his lips tightly as he put the necklace around her neck, before she turned to face him, "Thanks, Lyon,"
"It looks beautiful on you," Lyon commented and it was the truth. The sparkle of the gem matched with her eyes making her the fairest lady in the festival,
"Why, thank you, Lyon," she smiled while Elena watched them with a grin,
"Can we leave now?" Beth grit her teeth together, sending a hidden glare to Sabrina before they finally left.
"He likes you," Elena said as they walked to sit near the borne fire, "I think we've all known that for sometime now but it's too late for him as you have already been taken,"
"Come on, Elena, Lyon is going to find someone better than me as his partner, I am sure of it," Sabrina said as they continued enjoying the rest of the night, oblivious of the danger lurking,
