Sparks exploded as wind rippled between the two.
"Huh, I was sure he didn't have any weapons with him, what's this?" The mysterious attacker mused, jumped back.
"Another constellation? He doesn't feel as intimidating as Vanis, maybe we can come to an agreement." Jayden thought as he dropped the metal rod he had created in the heat of the moment.
"Hello, my name is Jayden Reginald. I am from earth and mean no harm. Maybe we don't need to fight. This could just be a misunderstanding." Jayden introduced himself, chuckling nervously, desperately hoping that the strange person would stand back.
"Are you a fool, dropping your weapon against someone you're not sure is on your side. Oh well…"
Raising his hand and bringing down his hood, the person smiled and introduced himself.
"I am the constellation of error, Glitch. It's a pleasure to make your acquintance, Jayden Reginald."
Suddenly mana surged outward from Glitch's body in a wild burst.
Hearing the word constellation and the mana made Jayden immediately on alert.
"What a disappointment. I was trying to suppress but apparently introducing yourself to someone you intend to defeat makes my suppressed mana flare back up. Such a useless feature of a title."
"Title?" Jayden asked, confused and still not understanding the concept of titles.
"You should have at least a bit of knowledge about it, constellations instinctively introduce themselves no matter what, when about fighting an enemy. Our names as well as our role, is a title, so I can't suppress my mana after saying it."
Brushing his hair back, he sighed as if bored.
Glitch looked human, although his colourful hair of blue, green with a touch of black was funny in a way.
He was lightly dark skinned with a height ranging around six-one to six-three.
A muscular looking human who looked calm and collected.
"That's enough chit-chat I guess. I'm going to kill you now, I don't have any thing against you but I need to get to earth. It's strange right, that earth is the only planet that cannot be invaded by constellations? There is a shield that cannot be bypassed into earth. I'm a reseacher so it tickles my fancy. So…"
Walking towards Jayden slowly, he smiled eerily.
"Can I just carve you up and see whether I can use you to bypass the shield."
Jayden sighed in disappointment. "There's no such thing as a good constellation."
"Whatever, let's just end this." Jayden said as the rod flying back into his hand as he lunged at Glitch.
Before he could reach Glitch, time stopped again.
"Fate?" Jayden asked as he looked around.
"Nope, it's just me, Logic Disruption." A voice in his head responded.
"Wait, what?? You could talk, why didn't you…"
"I didn't manifest myself to answer all those stupid questions. I came to give you advice. Are you listening?"
"Sheesh. What an attitude." Jayden replied as he rolled his eyes.
"I am a conceptual level power so talking to you and even interfering takes a whole lot of mana, and that's why I paused time. I basically had to use all the magic you obtained from Vanis. That's why I only appear when you make a decision that could end your life. Which also leads me to this…"
Logic disruption coughed dramatically and gave a little sigh.
"What the actual fuck was that? Using Doubler with hundred against a moving enemy.
Did you know what was going to happen next? Answer me?" The voice shouted at the top of it's lungs giving off the voice of an annoyed child.
"I don't know." Jayden replied, feeling as if he was going to gt a scolding.
"You don't know?! You don't know? Your attack was going to be dodged immediately and after you froze, Vanis would have tore your head from your body, after all, it's hundred seconds you wanted to freeze yourself for. What a loser."
"I'm…sorry." Jayden apologized, hoping that would satisfy him.
"You better be. Now onto the main thing, you might die here. He's a level above Vanis. But don't worry, I've already cooked up a backup plan but I need you to do something for it to work."
Looking at Glitch who was frozen, he looked perfectly calm and unfazed, almost like he knew he could beat Jayden without stress.
"What do you need me to do?" Jayden asked with determination.
"There's the problem, you dim wit. You're getting too serious over this and it's ruining your sense of creativity. What sets me above all else is my ability to do anything thought of. Don't think smart, think wild, it's always wild over smart, that's why you're slightly stronger when you're angry and are not thinking.
"I understand, but don't I also need to be aware of things for better chances of survival."
"As I said, you aren't ready to fight him. Just go wild, I'll deal with the rest. Just make sure he dies before you if the case happens."
"I'm going to go all out!"
"Are you ready, Fantasy" Logic Disruption asked, excitement seeping through it's voice.
"Let's do this."
Immediately time stopped, Jayden jumped right over Glitch and landed at the back.
Invisible claws tore at the air where Jayden once was and that was when he understood what Logic Disruption meant.
"Huh?"
"Mud wave." At Jayden's command, a huge swamp of mud arose and was about to engulf Glitch.
The part about to hit glitch began to pixelize and explode.
"What was tha…"
His body was sent flying into an asteroid, which became soft seconds before the impact, cushioning his landing.
"His fighting style cha.."
Not giving glitch any time to properly articulate his thoughts, a mana charged rod pierced through the dust aimed right for glitch's eye.
Slapping the rod away, he dodged a blow from behind but before he could turn back, he was engulfed in a flame attack.
"Enough!" The flame suddenly dissipated and the spears of ice that followed suit pixelized and turned to flowers.
Appearing before Jayden, he punched him back and a hammer suddenly forming in his hand, he flung it towards Jayden.
Seeing the hammer, he planned to block it and counterattack immediately but as he stretched out his hand, sharp spikes grew out of the surface of the hammer.
Tsk.
Dodging the hammer before it impaled him to death, he teleported above the hammer where he met the heel of Glitch's sandal which sent him crashing into the surface of a planet kilometers far.
BOOM.
Jayden landed on the mini planet and spat out blood, before he could recover, he saw the speeding silhouette of Glitch about to hit him.
"Shit." Jayden thought.
Clenching the ground, spiked pieces of rock flew up at Glitch, who without slowing down dodged all of them.
With his two feet, he landed directly on Jayden or so he thought.
"Switch."
Swapping places with the rock he had projected in the air, he fired various beams of lightning.
One or two hit, the rest completely dodged, the last one pixelated right before Glitch grabbed it.
"There's no weight behind these. It's just flashy colors with you, isn't it?" He mocked.
"Here, take it back." The beam of lightning, moving ten times faster than the original speed pierced Jayden in the stomach and sent him flying through space.
"I hope I didn't get his heart. Would be a waste if he died." Glitch thought as he used his hands as microscopes and looked in the direction of where Jayden had been blasted off into.
"Maybe I'll go take a look. Can't let my experiment die, can I?" Glitch smiled as squatting and releasing, he jumped back into space.
The ground cracked under him a second later, wind rippling through the surface.
"Where is he, he couldn't have gone that far, although I've been fighting with a lot of force, he couldn't…"
"Astral Projection!" Jayden's voice echoed through space.
Suddenly two golden giant hands appeared at his sides and tried to compress Glitch who quickly noticing, stretched out his hand, holding it back.
"I can't pixelate this. Has he figured out my powers?" Glitch thought as using his physical strength, he blasted it away.
Suddenly, from behind he was kicked with force into a planet.
Stopping himself right before he landed, Glitch landed on his feet and looked down to see Jayden waving at him.
"That's a clone huh, so you can do that too?" Glitch asked Jayden who was standing in front of him as he pointed at 2 who was still waving at them.
"Yeah, you were wasting quite a lot of time, so I had to send someone to come get you. Hope you enjoyed the ride." Jayden mocked as he held his stomach which was still bleeding although slowly healing.
"You're obviously trying to rage bait me. Congratulations Jayden Reginald, it worked."
Jayden grinned inwardly as he looked at Glitch. Phase one had worked.
"Your ability is just like mine, except on a way weaker scale, it's only physical objects you can change the properties of, that's why you couldn't do anything to my astral hands. Am I correct or am I correct?" Jayden laughed as he watched the cool facade of Glitch fading off.
Jayden was exactly on the mark.
Glitch's ability was called Pixelization, an ability that allowed you to restructure physical objects on a molecular scale, completely changing the object. A very basic ability when compared with the simple complex nature of Logic Disruption.
"So what does that change? Physically, mentally, experience wise I surpass you, sadly you still stand no chance." Glitch proclaimed, calming himself down.
"Who said anything about winning, I'm just based on killing you, and this is here to help." Jayden finished as he stretched out his hand and Xelvicar came flying into it.
"I've been waiting for you boy. I thought I would have to keep stalling." Jayden laughed as he raised the blade up, the white mana and all the magic from Avarice still in it.
"That sword is dangerous." Glitch knew it from the moment the blade landed in Jayden's hand. "I have to get that sword away from him."
"That's not all I've prepared. This is your resting place, Glitch."
As if on cue, 2 appeared behind Glitch and kicked him towards Jayden.
Skidding to a stop just in time by a hairs length, he dodged the sword strike aimed to divide him into two.
Dropping the sword, Jayden closed the distance and dragging Glitch's head, he slammed it into the ground multiple times.
"Enough." The ground melted and a spike stabbed into Jayden's hand.
"AAARRGGHH!!" He jumped back in pain and held his bleeding left hand.
"Xelivcar!"
The sword rose from the ground and from behind Glitch made it's way to Jayden.
"You don't think I'll allow you to get that back, do you?" Glitch thought as he gripped the sword mid flight.
The sword kept moving along with Glitch's hand, having torn it off from his body.
It was only when he saw the first spray of blood he had realized his hand had been ripped off.
"What?? There was no struggle." Glitch thought as he bent in pain.
With his right hand, Jayden created a huge blade of earth and sent it towards Glitch.
Glitch responded by raising his hand preparing to pixelize the attack but that's when he noticed it was a distraction, the real attack was behind it.
Before he could touch the earth, a white blade of mana from Xelvicar had hit him an tore off his other arm.
Gripping Xelvicar in his teeth, Jayden speared him off the planet while Glitch was still overwhelmed by the sudden loss of his two arms.
They landed in another asteroid belt and Jayden immediately jumped off as pixelating disks of stone emerged.
Part of the asteroids became make shift arms and attached themselves to Glitch's body.
"Jayden Reginald, forget the experiment, I'll kill you here." Glitch swore, his mouth foaming.
"Aura Extension: Trojan horse distortion."
A wave of pixels radiated out of him spreading kilometers far, turning every asteroid caught in it into glitching masses around him.
Jayden closed the distance in an instant and went for a punch but one of the asteroids from a far distance turned into a blade and in an instant passed his skull.
"So that's how it is. Thanks 2." Jayden smiled as he stood far away and began
stretch.
"Seems you didn't like the burial place I chose for you, huh? Oh well." Jayden said as he rushed in, right into the domain of Glitch.
"Xelvicar, duplicate and protect me."
The sword turned into six and began to block all the incoming attacks, speeding swords moving around it's commander.
On a normal scenario Jayden would never fight like this. The wound in his stomach was critical, moving constantly and wildly caused the wound to keep bleeding but placing all his hope in Logic Disruption, Jayden decided to press forward without stopping.
Reaching Glitch he threw a punch that was dodged but before he could attempt a counter attack, a whip passed through Xelvicar and latched onto Jayden's leg.
"I hope you're right about me going wild, Logic Disruption." Jayden winced.
Before it could pull Jayden away, he created a wind slash and took off his own leg.
"Fuck, that's painful." Jayden screamed in his mind, at least happy that the pain was close to nullified due to his magic.
Surprised at the stupidity of Jayden, Glitch hesitated, giving Jayden a chance for a counter.
"You know who else can alter matter?" Jayden grinned as marching his only leg on the ground the asteroid turned to feathers which took them off balance.
"Void Creator!"
Mana compressed in his hand before turning to shimmers of light mid fall.
"You really thought I'm going to let you do that?" Glitch shouted as he punched Jayden in the face.
Falling back, he balanced himself on Xelvicar.
"You think you have a choice whether I do it or not?" Jayden shouted back, blood pouring from his left eye.
The shimmers of mana formed back into an single blast before separating for the second time.
"This is the attack he's planning to use and finish me, it looks dangerous. I have to kill him now." Glitch thought as all the asteroids fused into one.
"Rain of Thunder!" The attacks split into blades of different size and shape as it began to rain on Jayden with immense speed.
"Mana shield!" Jayden shouted as a shield of mana blocked the beginning of the onslaught, but soon enough cracks began to form and the shield began to weaken.
"He's still charging the attack. That really was his last attack. What a fool, you would have survived longer if you decided to run and leave the attack." Glitch thought, his breath heavy.
Gritting his teeth, the pixeled blades began to move faster and piercing the barrier, stabbed Jayden through his heart and other different parts of his body.
"You lose, Jayden Reginald." Glitch sighed as the blades turned back into rocks as exhaustion caught up with him.
"Fucking bastard, who the hell told you that the fight has ended?" Jayden shouted, multiple holes in his body.
"You'll die soon enough. No point wasting any more time here." Glitch said with disgust.
"Oh, I know I'm going to die here, but you're going to join me too, isn't that obvious? Where do you think the attack I've been charging went to?"
Glitch's eyes widened as he looked at the hand of Jayden to see the attack there, just a flashy light of animation.
"Like you said there's no weight behind these." Jayden said as the lights went out.
"That's why I set this perfectly for you. Void Creator X Catalyst: Execution Pentagon."
He had realized a second too late.
A second. That's how long it takes one to turn the tides of a battle between constellations.
Suddenly five white beams of celestial passed through the body of Glitch dividing him into five pieces.
"What? How? When?" Glitch said his last as he faded away.
Jayden had already finished preparing the attack a while back but he had sent it to Xelvicar.
He had to keep Glitch busy on him rather than the sword that could kill him so Jayden made him forget about the sword and focus on him.
Lastly, he sent the remaining five swords far enough that he couldn't sense it but not far enough for the attack to reach.
That was the master plan Jayden Reginald had come up at the last few minutes of his life.
"It's up to you now, Logic Disruption." Jayden thought as his vision began to blur.
A little light began to spin around where his heart once was, slowly fading seconds after materialization.
Then it vanished.
Jayden's body became pale white as his soul began to leave his body.
His life flashed before his eyes for the second time, but this time…
Oh no…"Logic Disruption's voice muffled down as death cut him off from the world of the living.
Jayden Reginald was dead.
