Chapter 55 -  Chapter 54: The Potential Strongest

"I'm being held back, but by what... I need to kill her but I can't." Jayden thought as he crashed into the ground, ricocheted and smashed into the stands.

"Are you okay?" Kevin said as he rushed over to him, visibly worried.

"Yes, let's go. I don't have time to waste." Jayden replied as he dusted his clothes and looked at the cut on his side, healing slowly.

"No, you're not thinking straight. You're not planning anything, just rushing in like a wild animal." Kevin shouted as he dragged him back.

"You're letting your emotions cloud your judgement. I already stooped low to fight with someone who doesn't think right and I'm not going any lower to fight with an idiot." Kevin said, already irritated at the current turn of events.

What Kevin said seemed to calm down Jayden a bit, because for the first time since the appearance of Sabrina, he looked Kevin in the eyes.

"To be honest, I need to be angry, I can't fight her when she looks like my best friend. And more importantly, I have to make her pay for what she did to Nadia." Jayden cried in frustration, the anger building again slowly.

"Stop it. Grieve later, concentrate your anger on beating Sabrina and saving civilians, Okay?" Kevin instructed.

The purple veins on Jayden's head slowly faded away.

"Yeah, Thanks. I know what to do," Jayden said as a clone suddenly formed out of nowhere.

"I'm back." 2 smiled, a wide grin on his face.

"You know what to do," Jayden ordered before 2 ran out to deal with undead around.

Turning back to Kevin, back to his senses, he breathed in and out twice.

"I have a plan, watch my back. I need to destroy this barrier." Jayden said as the golden ball of mana condensed in Jayden's hand before turning to shimmers of golden light.

"I never saw the damage of that attack, but coming from him it won't be normal." Kevin thought as he slashed countless dark hands aimed at him.

"I was planning to use this as a last resort when I was fighting Jayden but I can safely assume that I won due to me landing the most attacks during the fight so I guess I'll bring it out now."

Stopping for a second, he hit right below his navel with his palm, next his spine by swinging his blade rapidly to his back, then his forehead, his solar plexus, his inner wrist crease, the back of his hand between his thumb and index finger.

Lastly, the upper outer leg.

Kevin screamed as a sea of mana washed over him.

"7 seas open! Ancestors protect me."

And Kevin was no longer there anymore.

Before another clawed hand could form, Kevin was already next to Sabrina and swinging the hammer in his hand, sent her flying.

Before she could reach the destination, Kevin was already there, a knuckled punch descending on her.

Teleporting before she landed, Sabrina spat out blood as arcs of dark mana appeared in countless numbers and rushed towards Kevin but in the blink of an eye, they vanished, each one cut apart with a speed and precision like no other.

"Jayden might find it hard to fight his friend so if I must, I'll kill her myself."

Taking a deep breath, he walked towards Sabrina slowly, the weight of mana in each step resounding and growing.

Mana was emitting out of him in waves pushing back rocks, rubble and objects away from him.

Blue marks appeared on his body, his wings glowing light blue, the crown in it's full radiance.

Talent. Skill. Hardwork. A genius.

A person usually fell into one of these categories and it affected their growth.

A person with talent hardly trained, having being naturally gifted and most of the times, if not always, they hit a wall later on, limiting their growth.

The same applies to skill, their flame burnt out once they met someone who surpassed them.

Hard work was the foundation that drove people to be better and never gave up.

Then what exactly was a genius. Kevin Dominic was the perfect example of a genius.

Someone who, although gifted from birth, trained his whole life, chasing expectations, and lastly had the knowledge from twenty-five geniuses before him, people who all reached the level of sword master and surpassed it.

At this stage, Kevin Dominic was more powerful than nearly everyone in the kingdom.

"Who are you." Sabrina croaked in surprise as Kevin once again disappeared from her sight and appeared behind her, his sword aimed for the kill.

A hand made from dark mana appeared and covered her, but the sheer raw force slammed her into the stands.

"I can beat her at this rate, although I'm just a second from fainting. Is he done?"

Turning to look at Jayden's progress, he saw the air distorting around the attack, lightning crackling around it, the area around it vanishing, a sweat drop from Jayden's face that got erased.

"Void creator." Jayden shot out the blast and for a second it disappeared, when it appeared, it moved with immense speed eliminating everything in its path with electricity crackling around it, vaporizing everything in its vicinity.

It reached the barrier and tore it down with utmost ease and kept going.

Kevin looked at the magnitude of the damage and thought, "What the f**k, and he wanted to use that on a person."

Buildings disappeared as though erased as it kept going until they couldn't see it again. "At least one problem's gone." Kevin sighed, his vision slightly blurry.

Sabrina stood up, her previous injuries gone as she cracked her hand and stretched. "Finally, body and soul synchronization complete. Now come again, Successor of IQ magic, also you, Jayden Reginald."

Her body started to change form, she grew taller, her blue hair started to turn purple, her attire into a skin hugging black gown, revealing her true form.

"How do you like me now, Jayden Reginald?"

Dark mana erupted out of her, a sign telling them that they hadn't seen anything yet as she flashed a wicked grin that tore Jayden apart inside.

…........

"The barrier's down, but who or what's that?" Chevro said as a yellow blur passed countless undead and they started falling, heads severed off.

"HAHAHAHAHAAHA. Come one, come all. I'll kill you all. Don't you dare hide"

An undead's head was ripped off, another torn into two, another shred into pieces continuously.

Chevro shot out a laser at one approaching them as the blur was moving past them. "Shit, the blur's gonna get hit." Chevro thought as he tried to warn whatever that was.

Without warning, the blur moving towards the undead, it stopped, grabbed the laser and stabbed it into the undead's eye and continued in another direction.

"Your laser's not actually holdable right?"Ugah asked.

"Nope, it's not possible as far as I know it."

"Then that's probably Jayden." Ren said and indeed it was partially true.

That was 2 running at max speed, killing as much undead as fast as he could without collecting damage.

"Watch out." Erick said as with speed and dexterity, he dragged Rex, Chevro, and Lucas and pushed them away.

Three arrows landed and an undead was seen at a distance wielding a crossbow. Erick's power was Danger Sense, allowing him to sense attacks and malicious intent from miles away, but in his fight against Judas, the illusions over-triggered his danger sense which made him lose, but now…

"Get behind me. Aura Extension: Spatial Awareness."

With his dual katana's in his hand he cut down the first arrow, then the second, then the third, finally a huge torrent of arrows that came from all angles but they all fell before Erick.

With eyes closed and huge strength he threw his sword which pierced through the undead's head.

"Bullseye." Erick turned and saw the barrier go down.

"Nice, at least were not alone fighting for Avarice." He smiled.

Suddenly a huge wave of mana erupted around the entire stadium.

"What is this malicious intent." Mr David thought as the stench of evil and death engulfed the whole place and continued to spread afar.
