Chapter 94 - the Secret Call

Everyone stood frozen the moment they saw him.

Vijay Ahuja—Manoj Ahuja's younger brother.

Right now, he stood in front of his elder brother and sister-in-law, his face calm… but heavy with seriousness.

Seeing him like that sent a strange chill through Savita's heart.

Her children, as usual, were lost in their own worlds—completely disconnected from the tension hanging in the air. Isha was buried in her phone, and Harsh was still busy admiring Om's Jaguar like nothing else mattered.

But Om…

Om wasn't at ease.

He knew the history between Manoj Uncle and Vijay Uncle. He knew how bitter things had been. And right now, one fear kept tightening inside his chest—

What if Vijay Uncle lashes out the moment he speaks? What if he fires those sharp, ruthless words straight at Manoj Uncle?

But what happened next…

No one expected it.

In a single step, Vijay walked forward—

And pulled Manoj into a tight embrace.

For a second, time itself seemed to stop.

Then, without a word, Vijay led the entire family inside the house.

The moment they entered, Sharda welcomed them warmly, with genuine respect and grace. The hospitality was flawless—everything from food to comfort was handled with care.

And just like that, the entire day passed at Vijay's house.

But something still didn't sit right.

Neither Vijay nor Om could figure out why Manoj and his family had suddenly shown up after all these years.

There were smiles, laughter, casual conversations…

But underneath it all—

Something felt hidden.

Something… deliberate.

Especially Savita.

There was an energy around her. A tension that couldn't be ignored. And her eyes…

Her eyes gave her away.

Om could clearly sense it now—

Savita wasn't here just for a visit.

There was a reason.

A hidden one.

Spending the day with them also gave Om a chance to understand Manoj Uncle's family better.

Manoj Uncle…

He was still the same innocent man Om remembered from his childhood. Soft-hearted. Simple. And still just as afraid of his wife as he used to be.

Harsh, on the other hand, was exactly like his mother—obsessed with brands, money, and showing off. He barely respected his father, didn't listen to a word he said… but the moment his mother called, he obeyed without question.

Then there was Isha.

Quiet. Calm. Soft-spoken.

At least, that's what Om thought at first.

But later, he discovered the truth—

Isha wasn't quiet.

She was just busy.

Busy living a completely different life on social media—constantly going live, creating vlogs, building a strong following.

And she was good at it.

Really good.

But the money she earned from all of it…

Didn't stay with her.

It all ended up in Savita's hands.

And Savita?

She used it freely—

Mostly as pocket money for Harsh.

By the end of the day, one thing had become clear to Om—

Savita's visit had more than one reason.

And one of those reasons…

Was him.

He had noticed it again and again—

Savita kept asking Sharda and the others about him throughout the day. And every once in a while, her eyes would quietly drift toward him… observing, calculating.

Measuring.

Night…

After dinner, everyone drifted into their own spaces.

The house fell into a calm silence.

Om was in his room, reading a book.

Then suddenly—

A phone rang.

At first, it seemed ordinary.

But the next moment, Om slowly closed his eyes.

His breathing steadied.

And within seconds—

He slipped into deep focus.

The world around him faded.

Through his abilities, the sound became clearer… sharper.

The phone belonged to Savita.

She was in the guest room.

Her voice echoed in his mind, as if she were standing right beside him.

"Hello… yes, I've reached Pratapgarh. What's the situation there?"

A pause.

Then her tone sharpened—

"What? Then keep them busy for a while. Make some excuse… anything!"

Another pause.

"I'll need time to finish my work here. No matter what, you need to buy me some time!"

Her voice dropped, confident… almost dangerous.

"Don't worry. You don't know me yet—I'll handle it."

A final pause.

"Alright, I'm hanging up now. We'll talk later."

The call ended.

Then came a deep breath.

And her whisper—

Cold. Determined.

"No matter what… I have to do this."

Om's eyes snapped open.

Now he was sure.

There was something going on.

Something hidden.

Something dangerous.

Savita wasn't just hiding something—

She was planning something.

Without wasting a second, Om stepped out of his room and started walking toward the guest room.

But just then—

He stopped.

His eyes shifted upward.

Vijay Uncle…

Was heading to the terrace.

Quickly.

Almost… restlessly.

Om frowned.

"What is Vijay Uncle doing up there?"

Without another thought, he followed him.

On the Terrace

The night was calm.

Moonlight spread across the terrace like a pale silver sheet.

And there, near the railing—

Vijay stood alone.

A cigarette burned between his fingers.

Smoke curled slowly into the night air.

Om walked toward him quietly.

But before he could say anything—

Vijay spoke.

His voice was deep.

Serious.

Sharp.

"So… you feel it too, don't you, Om?"

Om froze.

Vijay didn't even turn around.

"But there's something behind their sudden visit… isn't there?"

For a moment, Om just stood there.

Silent.

Surprised.

He hadn't expected this.

But the question…

It was right.

Completely right.

Especially after what he had just heard.

Savita's conversation echoed in his mind again.

Keep them busy… I need time… I'll handle it…

Something was definitely wrong.

Something was hiding beneath the surface.

Om stepped forward and stood beside Vijay, his voice calm but firm—

"Do you know why they're here?"

Vijay finally turned his head slightly.

His eyes locked onto Om's.

He didn't answer immediately.

Instead—

He studied him.

As if trying to read everything hidden behind his silence.

And in that moment—

Om noticed it.

Behind Vijay's serious face…

There was something else.

Something unusual.

Something heavy.

Concern.
