Savita's words… her greed…
Left both Vijay and Manoj stunned.
And on the other side—
Om's father, Vipul Ahuja, fell silent.
Thinking.
Trying to find a way out of a situation that was slipping out of control.
Just then, Manoj hurriedly spoke, his voice filled with desperation,
"Savita… what are you trying to do? Are you trying to turn my elder brother against us? What if tomorrow our business fails? Try to understand, Savita… just try to understand!"
But before anything could settle—
Suddenly…
Vijay burst out laughing.
Loud.
Uncontrolled.
Everyone in the room turned toward him in shock.
His laughter echoed in the tense silence…
And after a few moments, he spoke—still smiling, but with poison in his voice,
"Wow… just wow, Manoj. You should seriously become an actor. For a second there, I almost believed you didn't want the money… that it was only your wife being greedy."
His eyes narrowed.
"Can you see this, elder brother? Look at them. Look at how they're putting on this little drama just to squeeze money out of you."
He stepped closer, his voice turning cold.
"Manoj… I never thought you'd fall this low. Playing along with your wife like this? Have you forgotten how to earn honestly?"
Then, without even blinking, he added—
"Is this what our father taught us? To act helpless and beg for money? You should be ashamed."
He turned to Vipul.
"Elder brother, don't give them a single penny. Not one."
But before the silence could settle—
Savita snapped.
Her voice sharp, cutting through the air like a blade.
"Enough, Vijay!"
She stepped forward, her eyes blazing.
"Don't forget—your brother is older than you. And why shouldn't he ask for help? You've already secured your future, haven't you?"
Her tone turned bitter.
"We're not begging. We're asking for a loan. We'll return it."
Then, her lips curled slightly.
"Not like you… who always gets help without even asking."
The room went still.
Her words didn't stop there.
"No matter how much you dislike your elder brother… he has always stood by you when you needed him. So what's our fault?"
And then—
The final blow.
"Or is this all part of your plan… so you can cheat him again in the future?"
Her voice hardened.
"Whatever it is—
I need the money. Today."
The moment those words left her mouth—
Vijay's face darkened.
Anger flared in his eyes.
But…
She was his elder brother's wife.
He couldn't say a word.
Seeing things spiral, Vipul stepped forward calmly and placed a hand on Vijay's shoulder.
"Vijay… you should never speak about your brother like that. No matter what the situation is. He is your elder brother."
His voice was firm… but filled with dignity.
"My brother doesn't act. He doesn't need to."
Then he looked at Savita.
"And Savita… you need to understand. I truly don't have the money right now. If I did… your husband would have received it the very first time you asked."
He paused…
"And—"
"Stop, Vipul."
A voice interrupted him.
Soft…
But powerful enough to silence the entire room.
Everyone turned.
Om's mother—Veena.
She stood at the entrance…
Smiling gently.
But in her hands—
Were gold ornaments.
A lot of them.
For a moment…
No one spoke.
Vipul's eyes widened.
So did everyone else's.
But Savita…
Her eyes lit up.
Greed flickered openly across her face.
Veena walked forward and stood beside Vipul.
"These are my ornaments," she said softly.
"I brought some of them with me after marriage… and the rest—Vipul bought for me over the years."
She looked at them…
Then calmly said,
"I don't need them."
The room froze.
"It would be better if they are of use to your brother."
And with that—
She placed the jewelry into Savita's hands.
"Take these, Savita."
Her voice remained gentle…
But her next words carried weight.
"I don't want them back."
A pause.
Then—
"But after today… you will never return to this family asking for money again."
Savita's face changed instantly.
She thanked Vipul and Veena…
But her eyes—
They never left the jewelry.
Not even for a second.
Vijay clicked his tongue in irritation.
"What stupidity…"
And with that—
He stormed out.
On the other side—
Manoj broke down.
He fell at Vipul's feet, his voice trembling,
"Forgive me, brother… please forgive me…"
Vipul immediately lifted him up…
Wiped his tears.
But Savita…
She didn't care.
Not about the emotions.
Not about the moment.
Her world was still locked onto the gold in her hands.
Veena looked at Manoj with a warm smile.
"Manoj brother… we know your intentions are pure. But right now… you're helpless too."
Her voice carried both kindness and strength.
"I just hope your business succeeds. And in return… just give your blessings to our Om. Wherever you are… stay happy."
Then she turned to Savita.
Her tone still soft—
But now, meaningful.
"Sister-in-law… I don't want the money back."
A brief pause.
"But wherever you go from now on… make sure your husband never has to bow his head again."
It was advice.
A sincere one.
But Savita ignored it.
Completely.
With their new wealth in hand—
Manoj and Savita left for Delhi.
They started a small business.
And strangely enough…
With Veena's blessings—
It began to work.
Not big…
But enough to satisfy Savita's desires.
Life… slowly moved forward.
And then—
One day—
Everything changed again.
They received the news.
Vipul…
And Veena…
Were no more.
Manoj was shattered.
He wanted to bring Om with him.
Take responsibility.
Give him a home.
But Savita refused.
A fight followed.
A bitter one.
And in the end—
Manoj lost again.
After the funeral…
They left Om behind.
Alone.
And returned to Delhi.
Years passed.
No contact.
No connection.
Om didn't know anything about Manoj anymore.
And Manoj…
Didn't know what Om had become.
Until last night.
Out of nowhere—
Vijay received a call.
It was Manoj.
He said…
He and his wife were coming.
To meet Vijay…
And Om.
The moment Vijay heard this—
He fell into deep thought.
Something about it didn't feel right.
But Om…
Calm as ever…
Reassured him.
"Everything will be fine."
And now—
Standing at the airport…
Holding that name board in his hands…
Om waited.
For a past…
That was finally coming back to him.
Whether it brought answers…
Or chaos—
Was something only time would reveal.
