Chapter 87 -  Origins of Power

When God created life… He also created the gods—to watch over it.

For their comfort and pleasure, He created the heavenly realm… filled it with beauty… with celestial beings, fairies, the Ashwini Kumars, and countless mesmerizing creatures.

But over time…

Those blessings became a curse.

The gods lost themselves in endless pleasure. Day and night, they lived in luxury, forgetting their purpose.

And slowly…

The balance of the world began to break.

Whenever they wished, the gods would descend from heaven to earth—interfering, indulging, doing whatever they pleased.

When God came to know about their careless actions…

He decided it was time to remind them of their limits.

And so…

He created the demons.

Demons were not born just for destruction—

They were created to maintain balance. To keep the gods in check. To remind them…

That they were not the most powerful beings in existence.

Where the gods were created to nurture life… to guide it… to protect it—

The demons were created to balance good and evil… and to bring destruction when necessary.

But as time passed…

Instead of fulfilling their responsibilities, gods and demons turned against each other.

Their purpose faded…

And pride took over.

They began to fight—not for balance… but to prove superiority.

Seeing this, God separated them—placing them in different realms.

But the gods knew…

That one day or another, the cruel minds of the demons would rise again…

And they would try to seize Indra's throne.

So, with the help of Brahma, the gods devised a plan.

They gave the demons a place to live—

The hottest… most unbearable… most lifeless part of existence.

And there…

They were imprisoned.

Since then, the demon race has lived beneath the earth—

In the realms known as Rakshas Lok and Paatal Lok.

Both realms held different kinds of demons.

Rakshas Lok was home to the lower and middle classes—smaller, weaker demons who could be ruled.

But Paatal Lok…

That was different.

It was the dwelling of the most terrifying and uncontrollable demons—beings so powerful that no one could rule them… no one could control them.

Yet when it came to conquering the earth… or challenging the heavens…

All demons stood united.

But centuries of imprisonment had its effect.

The most powerful and ancient demons…

Fell into a deep slumber.

A sleep that lasted for ages.

Meanwhile, the demons of Rakshas Lok began living almost like humans—building their own society… their own system.

And then…

After many years…

A shift happened.

A coup.

The throne of Rakshas Lok changed hands.

A serpent—banished from the Serpent Realm—rose to power.

Takshak.

He looked like a serpent…

But his actions were far worse than the cruelest demon.

He believed himself to be the descendant of the infamous Takshak from the era of the Mahabharata…

And that belief…

Had turned into obsession.now The Takshak become the Demon king and he wanted to rule over the earth.....

on the other side at Vijay Ahuja's house…

It was afternoon.

Today, Om was home—spending time with his two sisters.

Sharda Aunt was busy cleaning the house. After a while, she had gathered a pile of unwanted items, packed them into large bundles, and placed them near the main door—waiting for the gardener to come and move them to the storage room outside.

Just as she finished her work and was about to join Om, Riya, and Soumya—

The doorbell rang.

She quickly went and opened the door.

And the moment she saw who was standing outside—her face lit up with joy.

Seema.

Anshika.

Ayush.

Abhay.

Supriya.

Nisha.

"Oh, children! Come in, come in!" she said warmly.

Everyone greeted her with smiles and respect before stepping inside.

As soon as they entered, they greeted Om and his sisters—laughing, chatting, filling the house with energy.

Then Abhay looked at Om and said with excitement,

"Hey Om! Come on, let's go out today. I'm treating everyone at one of the best hotels in The City. Riya, Soumya—get ready! We're all going out. Let's have some fun!"

Om looked at all of them, slightly stunned, then raised his hands.

"Hey, hey… calm down, guys. You people want to go out every single day or what? We literally just had dinner outside yesterday. And today again?"

Before anyone else could speak, Ayush jumped in,

"Bro, Nisha is leaving for Delhi tomorrow—for a whole month. So we thought we'd treat her to something nice today. That's why we planned this."

Hearing that, Om hesitated a little. He ran his hand through his hair and said,

"Uh… actually… the thing is…"

Before he could finish, Sharda Aunt understood the situation and stepped in with a smile.

"Children, Om doesn't really enjoy outside food that much," she said gently. "No matter how much he eats outside, he still ends up eating at home again."

She looked at all of them warmly.

"So why don't you all just sit here? I'll cook something special for everyone. What do you say?"

Abhay immediately lit up.

"That's even better, Aunt! Food made by you means better than any hotel, right guys?"

Everyone agreed instantly, excited.

But just then, Om spoke up—

"Aunt, you don't need to cook today. You must be tired. I'll make the food."

Sharda Aunt smiled, trying to stop him.

"Oh, Om, it's okay—let me cook."

But Om gently made her sit on the sofa.

"I said I'll cook today—for everyone."

Hearing this, Ayush couldn't resist teasing him.

"Wait… you're actually going to cook?" he laughed. "How perfect are you, man? Is there anything you can't do? And seriously, make sure it's edible—I don't want to end up eating something burnt, brother!"

Om laughed, shaking his head.

"Ayush, my brother… once you taste my cooking today, you'll end up licking your fingers."

Abhay smirked and added,

"Well… we'll find out soon enough. Either we'll be licking our fingers… or you'll be licking dust!"
