After finishing their spar, Talot and Bardock returned to the Time Nest.
After restoring all their strength, Talot and Bardock went to find the Supreme Kai of Time, Chronoa. After bidding farewell to everyone, with Chronoa's help, a space-time tunnel connecting to their timeline was opened.
"Alright, the space-time tunnel is stable. You can go in now. Remember to be careful of the spacetime storms along the way," Chronoa clapped her hands and turned to remind Bardock and Talot.
"Thank you for your care during this time. If there's anything you need in the future, just come to us," Talot promised Chronoa.
"I'll remember that. In the future, I'll come find you," Chronoa said with a light smile, hands on her hips.
"Then this is goodbye." With that, Talot and Bardock turned and stepped into the space-time tunnel.
As the two of them entered, the tunnel closed at that very moment.
"In the end, they've left. It would've been nice if one of them were willing to stay in the Time Nest as a Time Patroller," Chronoa sighed regretfully.
Bardock and Talot were both so strong, perfect candidates to become Time Patrollers.
But unfortunately, neither of them had any interest in becoming one.
Just as the two had left.
Chronoa immediately received an urgent distress signal from a Time Patroller in another timeline.
A projection formed by the power of space-time displayed the crisis encountered by Future Goku and his group in another timeline.
In their timeline, they had come under attack from people of the Demon Realm.
"People from the Demon Realm again… the trouble never ends. Vegeta, it's your turn to act." Chronoa turned and instructed Future Vegeta at her side.
Hearing this, Future Vegeta merely smiled without speaking. He had been waiting for this moment for a long time.
He believed that when Kakarot saw his brand-new transformation, the expression on his face would definitely be spectacular.
The feeling would be just like when he had first seen Kakarot transform into Super Saiyan 3.
He was determined to make Kakarot experience that same feeling.
...
At this very moment, inside the space-time tunnel.
Talot and Bardock were traveling through it.
Talot used the power of space-time to form an invisible barrier that enveloped the two of them.
With this power protecting them, ordinary spacetime storms would be unable to do anything to them even if encountered.
Their traversal was extremely smooth, and it wouldn't be long before they successfully returned to their original world, when suddenly, an abnormal change occurred.
An unprecedented spacetime storm suddenly appeared behind them and swept toward them at an astonishing speed.
"This thing… is this a spacetime storm?" Sensing the threat from the storm behind them, Bardock immediately erupted with his full power and transformed into Evil Super Saiyan 3.
The spacetime storm had appeared abruptly, and its advance speed was outrageously fast.
"What a nuisance!" Seeing the situation turn bad, Talot frowned and immediately mobilized the God Ki energy within his body, transforming in one breath from Super Saiyan God into Super Saiyan Blue Evolved.
The first time he traversed, he had actually encountered a spacetime storm as well.
At this moment, Talot grabbed Bardock with one hand and sprinted at full speed toward the end of the space-time tunnel.
But even the speed of Super Saiyan Blue Evolved could not completely shake off the supermassive spacetime storm behind them.
It was as if the storm had locked onto them, treating the two as prey and refusing to stop until it devoured them.
"Does this damn thing have self-awareness? Even at this speed we can't get away?!" The terror of the spacetime storm made Bardock's scalp go numb.
Judging by instinct alone, if one were swept into that thing, the consequences would be unimaginable.
Even someone as strong as him, if not dead, would at least lose a layer of skin, and once inside the storm, who knew where they would end up?
"Hmph! I refuse to believe we can't shake it off!" Gritting his teeth, Talot decisively activated the Power of Destruction within his body and entered the Ultra Ego state.
The might of a God of Destruction surged around him, and his speed underwent another qualitative transformation. Talot became a streak of purple aurora, carrying Bardock as he shot straight toward the top of the space-time tunnel.
Yet the supermassive spacetime storm still pursued them relentlessly.
"Damn it! Does this thing really have self-awareness? Fine, if we can't escape, then I'll destroy it!!" Anger flared in Talot's heart.
He had no desire to waste time or cause further complications.
Everything had been progressing smoothly, and yet they were being chased by a spacetime storm at this moment.
If it couldn't be shaken off, then he would face it head-on!
Talot gathered power in his other hand, condensing Energy of Destruction in his palm. Once the energy had fully formed, he hurled it backward with force, smashing the Sphere of Destruction directly into the spacetime storm behind them.
'Crashhh~~!!' An unbelievable scene occurred.
Talot's Sphere of Destruction not only failed to destroy the spacetime storm, it was instead shredded and absorbed by it.
After absorbing the Sphere of Destruction, the storm grew even larger, and its speed increased dramatically.
Seeing this, Talot sucked in a sharp breath. Without bothering to attempt destroying the storm again, he unleashed every ounce of his power, erupting with aura to accelerate further while carrying Bardock.
"What do we do now? Talot, if it really comes to it, you go on ahead alone!" Bardock frowned, his expression grim.
He had already foreseen what might happen and did not want Talot to be put in danger.
Although the hope of returning home was right before them and should not be abandoned, he was even more unwilling for Talot to lose the chance to return because of him.
"No! We've already come this far. How could I let go now! It seems unless we pay some price, this thing won't let us off." Talot understood the gravity of the situation.
At the same time, an idea formed in his mind.
Rather than continuing like this, it would be better if he stayed behind.
At least he had mastered the power of space-time; if he were swallowed, he believed he would still have a way to break free.
Moreover, he still had Whis's mark. The first time he had been swept into a spacetime storm, he had escaped safely.
As long as Bardock returned, he could then fully utilize the power of space-time on his own, dissolving the spacetime storm from the inside out before returning to the original world.
"Uncle Bardock, I'm going to use the power of space-time within me to send you back to Earth in our original world. Get ready," Talot suddenly said.
"And what about you?!" Hearing this, an ominous premonition arose in Bardock's heart.
He had already vaguely guessed what Talot intended to do.
"Don't worry. I'll be fine. I've mastered the power of space-time. Even if I'm swept up by this storm, I won't die. It'll just take a bit longer for me to return. When the time comes, Uncle Bardock, just help explain. Even if I really encounter danger, Salari and the others will know what to do," Talot explained.
"This…" Bardock found himself in a dilemma.
For him, letting Talot take the risk was worse than going by himself, but the current Talot was no longer the child who needed his protection.
"I understand. You must return safely!" After a brief silence, Bardock made his decision swiftly and said to Talot.
He did not want to drag Talot down.
