Alas! A crackle of energy sparked from the ritual. What followed was more energy flowing all around the smoking room. The four demons had done it at last. They had set the seal free, and now they awaited the Ancient who shall bring them to the real world. For a second, the crackles of energy started to fade, almost as though the Ancient was hesitant to accept their call, but then a dark energy filled the room, and the Ancient appeared at the center.
The Ancient was someone they recognized. It was none other than the armored man with a halberd. The demons started to talk to each other silently about whether or not the ritual was successful, and whether the Ancient was powerful enough to send them to the real world. He had mad aura surrounding him, as he turned his head to look at the demons. The armored man with a halberd knew his time with Xion would come to its end one day, but for it to happen so soon was something he didn't expect. Ikke the only one brave enough walked forward to greet the Ancient. He was terrified and kept shaking. But this was not Xion, the most powerful demon who he was most terrified of. This was the armored with a halberd.
" Are you the Ancient we called for? We asked for the Ancient who was powerful enough to bring us to the real world. One that could take over the world, defeat all of its opponents. Are you that Ancient?" Ikke asked politely.
All it took was one glance at Ikke to get him shivering. It was him alright. He could sense how powerful he was now. He might seem friendly at first, but there is no denying that look on his face. It was one of pure hatred for someone, but all for the cause of saving others.
"I am the Ancient who has answered your call. I was told that wanted you and your friends wanted vengeance, is that right? I will this simple. You can tell me what to do, and I'll do it. Otherwise, I must tell you to leave me be. " The Ancient spoke.
"I want to first find out if you really are the demon we called for" one of the demons said.
Ikke pushed him back and said, "He clearly is. Can't you all see how powerful he is. One finger is all
he needs to destroy you."
"Oh yeah. We aren't so convinced. Although it might be true that you know Xion, that doesn't mean you are the Ancient we asked for. Your aura could only be looks too. "
"However, you want to settle this, I'm down" the armored man with a halberd said.
"But know this, if you don't impress me in the slightest, I will NOT follow your orders."
Ikke, "c'mon guys. Let's talk about this first."
"No!" one of the demons charged at the armored man with a halberd, and without even moving a muscle, the demon was pushed back by a strong wave of energy. The demons tried to advance together, but no amount of force could push back on what felt like a non-movable wall. All Ikke could do was watch his companions hopelessly push the wall. The Ancient then summoned a powerful attack by slamming his halberd to the ground and channeled his dragon's rage. A dragon surrounded him, and the demons jumped back in terror. That dragon was so massive, it could literally eat them whole. The dragon did not attack, and soon they found out why. The dragon wasn't even real; it was his illusion. The demons tried to remain calm until the Ancient turned away and started walking. The demons followed, and the Ancient warned them that there was no guarantee that they would survive. The demons argued back and said that they would. The armored man with a halberd sighed. He couldn't believe the stupidity of these demons. So strong yet so dumb.
The demons took a seat on the floor, and the Ancient stood above them. Before we get to the real world, there is no guarantee where we will land.
"We want to know more about you and Xion." one of the demons asked.
"Xion is a powerful demon who I spared with. Nothing more than that. If you want to know how powerful he is, I guess you can say we were evenly matched, but I won every time. If Xion were to ever beat me, he would break out of the seal."
"You think Xion can break out of his seal for real?" another demon asked.
"Xion is a powerful demon, and there is no doubt in my mind that he will break out of his seal, especially now that Mehatto is there instead of me." the Ancient responded.
Mehatto and Xion look at each other. Their weapons and soul sealed away.
"Let me be free!" Xion said.
"And what will happen to me if I let that happen?" Mehatto asked.
"I'm sure nothing bad will happen." Xion lied.
Mehatto tried to attack Xion, but none of his attacks connect. No effect at all.
"How about you all tell me about what happened to the demons?" The Ancient asked.
Ikke looked to his friends. Ikke then talks about how they got caught in a trap. After that they were lost and had to find each other in this world filled with smoke. This place was not the afterlife, so what was this place? The Ancient walked around and the smoke started to clear.
"I know exactly what this place is." he stated with confidence.
