Wesley raised an eyebrow. "A submarine?"
Reid said, "Coming and going without a trace—if it's a submarine, then it makes sense. With that kind of firepower, a single missile can blow up a cruise ship. That's obviously a very powerful vessel. If it were on the surface, the satellites have swept this area over and over, there's no way they wouldn't catch it. The only explanation is that the submarine is down below, on the seabed—that's the only way it can vanish without a trace."
"A submarine needs about a hundred people to run it, right?" Xiao Qiao asked.
She didn't really understand Navy manpower arrangements, wasn't very clear on it. Wesley shook his head, and Reid said, "As long as the tech is solid, even a nuclear submarine only needs a dozen or so people to get moving. You don't need that many people, and it's even better at hiding."
Xiao Qiao said, "That's badass."
Wesley said, "If it's a submarine, we'll have to switch gear too."
