Finishing up in the room Ryouto exited and headed back towards where Jin was.
"Finished already. What are we gonna do now?" Jin asked looking at Ryouto as he took his previous seat.
"Well we could do anything we want. I don't got plans for the rest of the day. You?" Ryouto replied looking at Jin.
"Yeah same." Came Jin's promt reply looking around at the people still being called up.
"Hmm, some girls on shogram wanted to go out with me today. If you want we could hit them up and do a double date." Ryouto said pulling out his phone and going on this world's equivalent of Instagram, shogram.
"Nah those girls are almost always just on games." Jin said looking around maybe searching for something. Which peaked Ryouto interest causing him to ask.
"So what's your idea, and what you looking for?"
"Well we're already in a place full of girls our age.. so why not do it the old school way. Sweet talk them, give them our numbers and we can see who's free for a date later." Jin said as his eyes locked onto a girl with brown hair and a fairly cute face with a smile as she sat talking to a girl besides her that had pink hair that reached her shoulders and a fairly good figure.
"That's the one you got in mind huh?" Ryouto asked realizing Jin's intentions.
"Well that's not exactly a good idea... For now let's see if she makes it into sky high with us and then you can shoot your shot." Putting a hand his friend shoulder Ryouto said.
"Yeah, your right... Plus I wouldn't want to just ask her out like that.. she seems nice." Sighing in his heart Jin resigned himself to waiting.
"Wow, you actually like her! That's crazy man. Look at you, love at first sight." Ryouto said laughing at his childhood friend.
" Yeah, yeah let's go now." Jin said as he got up and began heading towards the door to exit the room.
Ryouto POV
As I got up I took one last look at the girl Jin seemed to have a crush on and as I did she turned to look at the now leaving Jin with her dim brown eyes.
Realizing what just happened I turned and began following Jin out the door a smile involuntarily making it's way on my face. When we reached outside he stopped, waiting for me to step out too. Making it past the open door I looked at Jin and pondered...
' I'm gonna tell him.' making up my mind, the next instant I looked at Jin and said.
"Yo man. When we were walking out the girl you were crushing on was looking at you." Waiting for his reaction I stood in silence for a couple moments.
"Wait what? For real?" Jin asked looking enthusiastic as if he was tempted to walk back inside.
"Yeah I got no reason to lie about that." I said expecting him to rush back inside hearing this, but he didn't. Instead he walked forward with a slightly more bit of jolt in his step.
Soon we left and ended up spending the rest of the day doing random stuff and just like that 6 days flew by.
In my room lying down watching videos on my phone.
"ring, ring" I watched the vibrating phone in my hand.
Checking the caller id I realized it was Jin. Answering the call I saw Jin, his face with a bright smile.
"Hey man I just got the letter, what about you?"
"Yeah I got mine a little bit earlier this morning. Didn't open it yet." I replied as he showed me through his camera the letter that was still sealed in his hand. While I picked up mine next to me on my bed and flashed it before the camera.
"Alright ready to open it then?" He asked face tensing with expectation.
"Yeah." I replied smiling at his nervousness.
"Okay. 3,2,1! Open!" Jin said as he open his after saying open and I followed.
Opening the white envelope I took out a paper that read something along the lines of.
"We are happy to inform you, Ryouto Saiketsu. You have been accepted into sky high academy." Reading this I turned back to Jin on the phone and saw him smiling even brighter than usual.
"You made it?" I asked. "Yep you?" He asked looking at my blank expression and probably feeling tense as his smile again dropped.
"Yeah I got in, stop being so tense when it comes to things like this."
"Hey you can't blame me, you're the irregular one for not being tense." He said defending himself.
"Yeah whatever floats your boat but I'm gonna get something to eat and tell grandma."
"Oh we'll talk later then." He said hanging up.
With that I began heading out my room roaming through the hall until I reached a stairs. Heading down I entered the joining room and then went to the kitchen. Making my way to the fridge. Opening it I saw many things and as usual was stumped on what to pick.
'Hmm maybe I should just take the chocolate or maybe the yogurt.. nah I'll go with the vanilla chocolate." I thought as I pulled out two white chocolate covered bars in white rapping and closed the fridge.
Opening the chocolate rapper I bit into it as I began walking towards the meditation room, the other bar still rapped in hand. The room was basically a dojo with nothing besides some pillows to sit on and some candles that made it smell pretty sweet.
My grandma usually spent most her time here when she had nothing to do. She said it was something about strengthening her soul when I asked and to be fair I think it was just some crap the old lady made up.
Anyway making it there I slid the door aside stepped into the room and looked at my grandma that was surrounded by the various candles and pillows.
Opening her eyes she looked at me her eyes slightly glowing.
"What do you want Ryo?" She asked looking at me probably annoyed at me for interrupting her meditation.
'Still haven't gotten used to it yet' I thought grimising at her use of Ryo.
"Well I opened my letter and I got in." I said still munching on the chocolate, feeling it melt into my mouth.
"Oh? So your gonna be living in their dorms when you start next week right?" She asked raising her eyebrow.
"Yeah, no need to tell me how much your gonna miss me." I said smirking knowing how much of a menace I was over the years.
"Hmph, wouldn't dare of it. Infact this is great. No you to interrupt my meditation, what a blessing in disguise." She smirked as I came and sat down opposite her. Tossing her the other chocolate bar.
Catching it mid air she opened it and began munching into it.
"That's all you came to tell me?" She asked pausing chewing the chocolate for a moment.
"No, just thought I'd learn that thing you do to make your destruction ability ignore defenses or whatever." I said looking at her with my usual dry face.
"Now you decide you want to learn it?" She said taking a breif look at me before returning to savouring the chocolate with her eyes closed and a smile on her face.
"Yeah I believe I've gained full control of my ability now and I don't see me getting any stronger if I keep myself at this level." I said while thinking...
'Well I wanted to learn it a long time ago but I felt like if I needed to master my ability to a certain level before I could. Now that I have and I won't be seeing her for quite a bit it'll be better to have it as a trump card.'
