Nikolai enjoyed a hearty meal and regretted that his wives couldn't join him. But thankfully, Miranda sat and discussed their current situation while the pair ate something light.
He glanced at the clock above the dark mahogany bar.
After returning home, the first six hours almost flew by, with him half-conscious from the bizarre black organism and his fun with Zara, and the two hours with his little maids and their newborn girls.
"I should be able to meet them soon, right?"
Miranda nodded, checking her digital clipboard, then checked her wrist. "I believe that Madame Rika has just finished treatment and should be ready to see you. We've given her some relaxants and an IV to help sustain her, but without your blood..."
He understood without her leading eyes.
"Then, shall we head over?"
Nikolai added a large tip to the chef who cooked his meal and to the pretty waitress with the perky hips, then stood.
Miranda glanced at his payment screen before giggling.
